I had to let my first mentor/Dom go and it still stings. That was several years ago. Your feelings are normal, even healthy.

The bad side of what happenned to you is you had to let a mentor and friend go. The good side is you found the one you want as your Master for the rest of your life. If you ever need to talk to him, I bet your mentor will still be there if you and your Master are doing good or having problems.

@ Leadfoot33: it is normal and necessary to mourn LOSS. Walking-away, in particular from someone who you by definition trusted and perhaps even loved, is very difficult! Give yourself time.. talk about what you feel and BE with it. You can't walk around grief, you have to walk --through-- it.. this is the way of Life. I empathize because I KNOW what you are feeling. Time will help you heal. M

it is normal to feel like a sub is losing a part of her when she tells the One who brought out the slut in her that He has to be out of her life.?

leadfoot,

An experienced Mentor sets that up as a ground rule from the git-go!

It is normal I think. Especially depends on the amount of time spent together.
