Apparently, a lot of people need to share how their search is hopeless, how no one can ever meet their standards, how people here are inferior, stupid and mean, and a host of other complaints and histrionic celebrations of victimization. I say we give these poor folks their own forum and let them have at it. What say you?

If there was an 'about collarme' forum, stuff about profile text, the difficulty of finding someone, how to get good responses etc could all go in one place. The threads wouldn't get swallowed up by other forums, so they would be more easily visible-you'd get less repeats that way.

I gotta agree with Holly here. Although some of them end up being great fun & I would miss that type of entertainment if they were contained somewhere I would never go.

The decision making process can be alittle perplexing; I see threads started in Off Topic, and they fit fine there, only to see them moved here, and some incredibly fucking stupid ones left over there. There would still be those kind of threads started all over the place, but I guess if there was a specific forum, at least the mods would have a dumping ground for them.

People could commiserate, instead of feeling attacked. And they'd see they are the latest in a long trail, not someone freshly "wronged." They could meet and get together. Complain about how there are no good restaurants left. Then they could go pine about the lack of good movies playing.

However, I just do not think that it will work. They do not see themselves as whingers. They truely believe that they have a message to share. That is what is so very sad. Because of this they will continue to post willy-nilly about their issues. Reading the headings would be much too difficult. At some point in life one just has to "man up" and put on their big kid pants and realize that today is just not all about me and tomorrow is not looking so good for that either. So, overall I think that it is sweet but futile. Thank you for caring though.
