explain what you mean by padded restraints, for the wrists and ankles or for the hands??? check out JT's stockroom or extreme restraints.

I got these stainless steel restraints that are lined with soft leather from extremerestraints. They kick some serious ass, they are very secure and extremely comfy. I almost think you could hang by them all night and might not even have marks.

If you do get those though, one caveat. DO NOT use the lock used to secure the restraint as an attachment point. That gives the wearer too much mechanical advantage. Use the D ring, it what it is there for. The distrubution of force under stress is also much better.

It was about $150 for the whole set, and it was damn well worth every penny.

I have a few pairs of leather retraints that are lined with fur. They work great and are very comfortable for the wearer, allowing more force to be exerted and they are less likely to cut into the flesh. The downside is that if the wearer's wrist and hand diameter are close to the same size, they are much easier to slip out of. I have a pair of fur-lined suspension cuffs from JT's that are simply awesome.

Hospital leather restraints can have padding sewn into them.  http://www.pxdirect.com/humane.htm.  Only color is natural leather.  I have some I bought years ago from a store in NY that were dyed black, but haven't seen any recently.
