BiYourLeav -> Have I found a home?! (3/9/2010 3:18:58 PM)

CM was recommended to me by a friend. Chatting with him about some of my more intimate quirks, he remarked, "You're not nuts...You're a DOM and don't know it!"

So, here I am to explore.

Diving in! Wish me luck!

Welcome!  If you are open and courteous to the others on the boards, you will have plenty of lifeguards available. You'll also have plenty of instructors, willing to show you new strokes[;)]!

MichiganHeadmast -> RE: Have I found a home?! (3/9/2010 3:25:17 PM)

If you did, I'd like to rent the spare bedroom. [:)]

But seriously, welcome! I'm sure you have found a home.

WOW! ...and the L/locals are FRIENDLY, too! Thanks folks!

So, where does a Beginner, begin around here? Any recommendations?

Welcome to the boards.

Excellent question. You begin like you did, and make friends and read and learn. As far as real time meetings, the likelihood of that improves by attending an event or two, although certainly folks meet up directly from the boards. And it might take a few of those before you actually click with someone. And even then you have to laugh off a few initial bumbling efforts but practice makes, if not perfect, at least a fun outing.

choccywoc -> RE: Have I found a home?! (3/10/2010 2:45:05 AM)

Great photograph, very Salvador Dali.

BiYourLeav -> RE: Have I found a home?! (3/10/2010 3:05:55 AM)

Thanks, choccywoc!

Actually, Dali's 'stache was straight. Mine is kinked.

You know, now that I think about it, there could be other parallels there...LOL

DarlingSavage -> RE: Have I found a home?! (3/10/2010 3:37:54 AM)

Welcome, I like the 'stache, too. I agree with choccy, that's what it made me think of. I love Salvador! Your picture also reminds me of this guy, artfred from fetlife. He's another great artist, great work with the camera, you should check out his stuff over there. Actually, this may be one of his models, Mr. Hawks, but it could also be an alter ego that he uses for his work. I don't know, but his stuff is just outstanding!

SirGuy68 -> RE: Have I found a home?! (3/11/2010 6:27:15 AM)

If I may jump in on BiYour Leave's post - It's been several years since I was a member on ALT and some other 'life style' sights. Alt did lead to two very intense long term relationships. I was just curious of any ones thoughts of which sights are still at least better than marginally bona fide ?

Also BiYour leave I find that CM and Fet life are suited for networking and finding events to attend.. and you'll probably meet more in 3D with pick up lines verses using on line.

Be Well
Sir Guy

VideoAdminZeta -> RE: Have I found a home?! (3/11/2010 6:33:14 AM)

SirGuy68, it's better if you create a separate post to ask your question, as the purpose of this thread is the welcoming of a new member.  If you would like to start a new thread, Off Topic Discussion is probably the best area for you to ask your question.

And, BiYourLeav, I'd like to say "Welcome to CollarMe" as well![sm=wave.gif]

LanceHughes -> RE: Have I found a home?! (3/11/2010 6:43:09 AM)

Welcome! Go to search (upper right on every forum page) and peruse / use the archives.  Your question of "how to get started" has been "Asked and answered, your Honor" many a time.  Now that's not to be rude (to send you to archives) but rather is (and always will be) the best answer to broad, "new to CM" questions.

On the other hand, you can always just jump into the deep end and see who is currently on duty as a life-guard. LOL!

/Notes that SirGuy68 got Admin's attention on his 6th post.  Probably a record!/

Thank you!  You made me laugh!  I hope you're having a fantastic morning.

Unfortunately, though, it's nowhere near a record.

Welcome aboard and if you speak to the Fremen, they may have a few water rings for sale!
