Yet there are plenty of headlines regarding these abuses. Follow the money.... The Roman Church has a lot of money. School districts do not. It's not a matter of religion. There are evil people who will abuse their positions to perpetrate these horrible crimes in all areas of our society. The important thing is to arrest those who cover up these crimes, prosecute the criminals to the full extent of the law and be dilligent to protect our children.

Schools, report allegations of sexual abuse whereas the Catholic Church has a don't tell or you go to hell policy for victims of sexual abuse. That Papal decree is the smoking gun that's cost them so much.
