I was wondering if anyone has ever been to a swingers' club/party, and whether they have found any kinky people there.

Here in LA, there is a sizeable overlap, of people who attend both swinger's parties and BDSM parties. Most of the swing people I met were pretty cool with lifestyle people.

The few swingers events Master and I went to in LA generally had one about one other kinky couple. Usually the rest of the group were ok with some light BDSM play but would be weirded out if it got too rough. Also, in my limited experience, most swingers seem to be very much focused on the females being respected and getting their needs met, making it a difficult to openly display a Male Dominant, female submissive dynamic. charlotte

hmm there is some overlap, but there are also alot of people here in kansas who look down on the people in the other group. there is a huge group of swingers that think the bdsmers are freaks, and in retuurn alot of the bdsmers think the swingers are closed minded jerkwads.

I don't know a whole lot about the swingers community, but I do have some friends who are swingers, poly and into bdsm. She just labels them as hedonists ~smile~. They are great friends and fun to hang with.

It has been my expierence that women were used as bait in the swinger community in my area.

The swingers group that i know about is separate from the BDSM group. They seldom overlap. Believe it or not, the swingers group is much more private and secretive. As you might guess, a lot of guys want to get into a group that encourages open sex. So swingers groups tend to be more selective than BDSM groups. They tend to be primarily couples, and it's very difficult for single guys to get in. You often have to be invited in. I was invited by a friend of mine who is a swinger. She felt that i was the kind of guy that the members would "enjoy" (whatever that means). i didn't feel that it was my kink, and i turned down the invite.

The swingers club where I live hosts a "Fetish Night" once a month which is actually pretty fun.

Woot! The Green Door in Las Vegas, baby! It's a swinger's club that has a very nice dungeon, which 5 of us from CM "took over" for Steel's b-day party 2008. I don't know how swingers are at private parties and such, but a toy hitting a subby ass is like ringing the dinner bell in that place. We even did some "community outreach", answering questions and letting people try out some of our toys. [:D] Just be sure to bring a pair of togs if you wear heels there, unless you never want to live down walking around barefoot [>:]

At one point, there was a swinger's club in Atlanta. For whatever reason, it did close down, but a group of folks that used to attend/have parties there now hold events at 1763. It was a running gag that, if you don't check the calendar ahead of time, the sadists will end up scaring the swingers a bit if you decide that's the night you head to the dungeon.

Thanks, everybody! El Paso is dead for BDSM (correct me if I'm wrong) but there IS a swinger's club that meets each weekend. I thought I would try to get the Hub to check it out with me.
