Is the internet a breeding ground for murder? Are possible victims selected by their responses to chat room dialogue? Is there a connection between chat room BDSM sites and the killing of respondents located through the use medium chat room adventures?

BDSM or “bondage, domination, sadomasochism is a lifestyle wherein one person subjugates themselves to the will of another. This surrender of the person can be complete or limiting predicated upon the players involved. It can range from practices of utilizing simple commands to those of any inventive mind. Sexual events are rampant but the lifestyle is not limited to sex only. Living conditions, dress, speech and responsibilities to each other all contribute to the pleasure, or satisfaction of both subjects. There are dangerous practices that can result in death. The participants, like many other human practices , encompass the full spectrum of economics, religion, or culture

This research will examine the roles and places that are part and parcel to this lifestyle and its dangers. Exhaustive use of newspaper and journal articles will examine what processes are integrated into making this either a benign or harmful activity.
