My sister is my best friend and we have such a bond that lately we have been talking about getting a "sister" tattoo to honor that bond.

Curious to how many others here have gotten a tattoo for a sibling? If so, what was it of and why that?

If your feeling very brave, i would love to see a picture.

I'm gonna start drawing up our tattoo design soon and hopefully get it done before summer.

I don't have any tats or know anyone with em, but I heard about a guy who had his grandchild's footprints from the birth certificate tattoo'd on himself. That would be kinda cool, if you can find the origional footy-prints to exchange. They would be small but still a good conversation starter.

Oh, that's a FABULOUS idea! My mom would have a complete meltdown! All the more reason to do it! I'm 46 yrs old and she still gets mad every time she discovers a new tat on my bod. She only recently noticed the one on my ankle, I'd had it for a few years at that point. God, I'd hate to see what she would do if she ever saw the huge piece on my torso! She'd probably have an aneurism!

Twist MY arm, will ya?

Actually, I've had more done to that one on my torso, so I need a new picture of that. Let me see what I can do in the next few.

HOly moly, lol you got them on the most 'ouchy' parts toooooo. Braaave girl.

Here's the updated version. Actually, I like the ouchy parts. But I can only take it for a few hours. That tat took 3 hours in one sitting. It was lovely!

That's some lovely ink, DarlingSavage.

In answer to the OP-

I don't have any 'sibling' tatts, but I do have a friend one. Me and 3 other friends each have a Chinese character (which translates to FRIEND) on the back side of our left ankles.

I also have the Chinese symbol for JOY with my daughter's name below it, on the back of my neck.

I have some other ink too, but they don't relate to the topic at hand :).

Lovely tatts. Thanks for sharing.
even if they aren't sibling related, I love a good tattoo.
they are a weakness...when done well.

well i hopefully will be able to get this one done in a month or so.

I do not like the ouchy parts but that will not stop me from getting one where it will look good.

Have only one tatt on my back right shoulder blade, I think I will put the sister tatt on the other one. Want it to compliment the one I already have so will probably have a black tribal like young tree - no leaves and a single star above...a wicked star. Both of these are very symbolic to my sister & me. Without her I wouldn't be who I am...in fact without her I'd half die.

Sounds like a really cool, beautiful tat. You'll have to post a picture when you get it! I like-a da pictures!
