Ah, but I am a man of international intrigue and I am very hard to keep up with. However, if you were to slay me, it would be with your feminine charms, you sexy thing you.

It's probably for the best you feel that way.

Hey wait a minute, that's my line, Mata Hari, Mistress of International Intrigue and Disguise!
(Mistress does not mean Domme, here)

Hell of an introduction.

At least I didn't pull that "vodka martini shaken not stirred" routine. Who the hell drinks a vodka martini anyway. Vodka should be served cold, straight up with pepper. A right proper martini is made with Bombay gin, not vodka.

Wouldn't that be "snuff employment" ?

::: SIGH :::

Dear Mr. Dick-of-Steel;

A vodka martini IS made with gin, you "fake," you.  The vodka martini refers to a "twue" martini in which the original vermouth is replaced with vodka.

Got it?  Original martini recipe is mainly gin with DRY (not sweet - yuck!) vermouth.  The less vermouth, the drier;  a "dry" martini is 1:6 or less.  Family joke: For a true "dry" martini, just whisper the word "vermouth" over the gin.  (Not so much a joke after my Uncle started drinking "Gin rocks" and was found dead with a tumbler of gin next to his bed.)

ANY "man of international intrigue" knows that definition of a martini.

Oh, wait!........ your secret is a new recipe for a martini..... Well, you've given a hint.  The base remains (Bombay) gin, so all we need to figure is your 2nd (and final) ingredient...... BRB.... this link: http://www.martinirecipe.net/ has more than I care to count.  And I'm certainly NOT going to open "A Breakfast Martini."

Other sites have martinis with rum as the main ingredient, for G*d's sake.  BLEAH!  I couldn't even open that link (google is your friend) much less post it here....

Are you keeping up?

Regards, Mr. Lance-is-Hughes

trying...

k... a vodka martini is not made with vodka, it's made with gin... except it is made with vodka to replace the vermouth...which is why a vodka martini is made with vodka even though it isn't.

The sad part here, folks...Lance totally understood what i just said.
