As I read all the responses to the OP… I have to put a different spin on the question.

For me tickling does not have the same sensation within me that it has in most.  For maybe a moment or two I will feel the “tickle”, the having to get away and laughter feeling… then it is like my body shuts down all those sensation points. I can stand there and have no reaction at all to someone tickling me anywhere on my body, even though I am still feeling the touch my body does not feed my brain the sensations.

I know why my body developed this protective measure… it comes from my childhood and an abusive uncle that would use tickling as a form of sexually contact and way to lead up to the abuse. If I was not laughing… he had no ability to justify touching me in public anyway.

So for me tickling has the reaction of my body shutting down all the sensations and my mind disassociating from what the person is doing whether it is meant as a pleasure or a punishment.

I'm always sorry to hear of someone having been abused, and I can see why you might think that the "shut down" is a result of that. that may well be true of course, but I have the same thing, and no unhappy memories tied to tickling to account for it. No explanation, its just something that happens for me. I rather like it <S>

i am a very tickelish person. Lets hope my protector does not see this one LOL.. wait i think i told Her LOL.... but,  when someone tickels me i tend to try and squirm, and i get all worked up to the point i need to run and pee LMAO! so to be tied up. well hell i like that idea LOL

My older sister, 5 years older, used to pin me down and tickle torture me!  She would do it until I cried my eyes out and sometimes I even peed my pants.
It is definately a hard, hard limit for me. I would really be afraid that I would snap mentally.
Nope already had enough of that in my life, No more, for me, it's not a laughing matter.

Sorry to hear about it Alandra and Brightspot.  Though i used to hold my sister down and tickle her till she cried.. at times.  As for self sabatoge.. get used to it ladies theres no way around it.  i've been working not to self sabatoge myself for over a year.. and i still tell on my self all the time.  i'll even TELL myself  wont tell on myself.. and i do.

as for tickling.. i dont see what the big deal is?
