......well, when American politics leaves the rest of the worlds politics alone you may have a point.

However, while American foreign policy is anything but isolationist, then other countries have a vested interest in what goes on there. Foreign policy is, as ever, driven by domestic political concerns. Ergo, other countries have an interest and a right to comment on US domestic politics.
