(I wrote this in early December of '09, after a few glasses of wine, sitting starring at the Christmas tree i had just decorated, thinking about life. I find I write creatively the best after a little wine. I really like this poem.) Mortal moments Fragile flesh Like a blade of green growing grass On a fertile summer plain Lay me down on that green green grass Mortal flesh on tender grass Crushed Moments Fleeting The life of a blade of grass The life of a body of flesh All this feeling wrapped in fragility A conscious ability to grasp it To feel it Claim it And Know it Then scatter... ¤ ¤ ~ Poof! ~ ¤ ¤ Into the wind... To rewind And backtrack Curl in a ball & be reborn to that feel that claim to life Once more.....
