Is it knife play when you engage in cutting as well. Cutting of the skin? The question really at hand is how dangerous does it seem to use a knife with pussy play? Please as many opinions as possible. I am a submissive and the thought of a knife in my pussy sounds intriguing however am new to the lifestyle to know if there are any risks or not? please list any risks possible and dont be afraid to flat out tell me its a dumb idea if you truly believe it is. I am very open minded to discussion. thanks for all your opinions in advance.

Basically, I term any type of way that a person plays with another person with a knife as knife play. It can, but doesn't necessarily have to involve cutting. Truthfully, I do prefer to use a scalpel if I'm specifically intending to cut. The plus side to this is the sterility factor. What it looses is the 'wow that's a big, scary knife' element.

Which leads Me to My next comment. What I'm gathering from your question is that you are looking for answers regarding the knife being inserted vaginally. Unless we're talking about an exceptionally dull blade that couldn't possibly cut any internal skin, I really wouldn't recommend it. You have to remember what you are made of and exactly the risks involved with an internal incision. We're talking about a literal breeding ground for a potential infection. While the scene itself might sound really hot, how hot is that doctor's visit going to be?

i think any play that involves a knife is knife play and i agree with what LadyPact say. I think it's very unwise to insert something that could cut flesh in that area

I agree. This is a bad idea. But, there are some big scary knives that are quite dull. My Antheme is a scary Hibben and it's almost to dull to cut butter. I do not suggest you do this even with a dull knife but if you do at least choose the least risky option.

For myself... If I am using a Knife... it's Knife play... which may or may not result in cutting and blood.

If I am using a scalpel.... It will most likely be for the purpose of Cutting! and that is there to cut a design or maybe have some blood play.

Now as far as putting a knife in the pussy... Yes it can be done... and yes it can be a sharp knife as well. HOOOOOOOOOWEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVVVVVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR....

This is HIGH RISK..... and not something you should do with someone that doesn't have the experience or has learned from someone that does have the experience.... The idea is to minimize the risk... and the knowledged to do this both for Top and Bottom is rather important... and not something to do on a whim

Not over here in common usage within the public scene players at least.

Knife play, is more sensual play, even with a very sharp blade only the very topmost layers of skin are affected

Cutting is different and does exactly what it says.

If there's blood, I'd call it blood play. I've always assumed knife play was mostly sensual. I'd hate to mention interests in knife play and have someone actually cut me with it. I like the feel of the cold metal, and the power someone with a knife has, but I hate pain.

As for the question.. personally, that sounds like a bad idea. Even if the blade were dull.. there's still the point. Maybe if you only used the hilt.. but anything more than that is kinda.. risky.
