...I don't know how I got through my mathclasses at school but somehow I did..but I just can't possibly figure out the clock since we don't change it in my country then it's a pain in the ass to understand this, can anyone tell me Pensylvainia is 6 hours behind UK time..since it's 8.30pm there and 2.30am in UK - 6 hours difference on midnight (or something) US moves the clock forward WHY does the hours difference become 7 hours???????? why doesn't the difference DEcrease since you're moving closer to UK time? I can't possibly get this[:(][&:][:(]

I just finished changing my clocks over to Daylight Savings time for the first time ever. Most of Indiana went by Eastern Standard time from 1970 until today, therefore we've never had to switch our clocks to Daylight Savings in my lifetime. (Hooray for governors who have nothing better to do... poke, poke Mitch Daniels). Personally, I did just fine without having to trick myself into thinking that changing my clock made the days longer. It wasn't broken, so I don't see why we fixed it. Ah well. Honestly, I don't understand it either. I think it's pretty useless. I'll let someone who actually understands why it's useful explain it to you.

I've never lived in an area that doesn't change the time in the Spring and Fall, so I don't think much about it. Most people that I know of like it when it stays light to a later time (9 pm or so?) and are glad about the "Spring Forward" and they don't like the "Fall Back." There is a website that I saw that explained a lot of the history of it and where they do it and when. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time There is also another site that is pretty helpful when I want to know what time it is somewhere else compared to where I am. www.whitepages.com.au Under the "Tools" heading click on "World Time". You just enter the country and state (if applicable) where you are and enter it for the place you are looking for. What I have always thought is that it must be really aggravating for the airline industry to keep track!

I so understand Naked, I was thrilled when I moved back to Indiana 25 years ago and didn't have to deal with this silly time change anymore. Mr. Mitch should be tied up and flogged, in a bad way...and I am sure he will feel he has after the next election. Wow interesting I didn't know that Indiana didn't use DST. Hmmm those websites were interesting.. I don't mind the DST it will be nice to have more hours with the sun. Although I am going to miss that hour of sleep the first couple weeks.

He oughta be horsewhipped for saddling us with this stupidity! I've not lived anywhere where I had to change my clocks since 1972! And I LIKED it that way! I think I'll convince Master to move to Arizona, where they're still intelligent enough not to screw with the clocks twice a year.

head desk I hate daylight savings time. Somehow.. SOMEHOW... I ended up two hours early for work. Exactly HOW many people does it take changing the SAME damn clock forward for this to happen?? I guess it's less sarcastic when you can actually perform some simple math and answer that one for me. xP. Every clock in my apartment says a different time. I give up! :)

Now the time on my car clock is correct! (yes, I never changed it in the fall)

And at that point, it almost becomes what's the point of doing it at all? Personally, I think we should all set our clocks to whatever they were on January 1, and LEAVE THEM THERE! We're a 24-hour society, for cryin' out loud! And I don't want the sun to be shining in my bedroom window at 10:00 pm!

My son came over yesterday and told us that his atomic clock can't be set to the correct time here now, since we have to change it for daylight saving... grrrr. So how is that gonna work? Does the company that makes atomic clocks have to completely reprogram their satelites? Can they? If he takes his clock into Ohio it will reset itself to the correct time, but IT still thinks Indiana doesn't observe DST.

I just got up a little while ago to get ready for work. Grrrrrr, the clock says 6:05 am, but I still "know" it's 5:05 am. Hate, hate, hate DST.

Whoa! Thank for reminding Me. Since we never change in Az (why in the world do we need another hour of daylight? S) I usually catch up a week or so after. It only affects Me as to My relationships with people in DST states. I'm never confused. I always know what time it is! Wondering why they never seem to know what time it is in Arizona? Wink Waves to smilezz who didn't have to change the time either!
