This question has probably been asked and answered before.  But what materials are better for long term butt plug wear?
I was told once that surgical steel was the best, but others swear on silicon or glass!  So which is it?

I would suggest that for any timeframe of more than an hour or so or if you'll be walking, bending over, sitting, driving, or otherwise actively moving around going about your business, you'll be far more comfortable with a flexible buttplug.

I once agreed to wear an acrylic plug for a friend and was utterly miserable while driving and taking her out for dinner.  Were I to do that again, I would insist on one of those curved soft plugs.

The longest lucky was made to wear one was about 3-4 hours. lucky tends to agree with Nick, that a flexible one would be best. Another observation is that the longer the wearing, the more lube is important. Finally, a problem lucky finds is that wearing this sub's 1.75" plug for a long time makes retention more difficult; when lucky wore a plug harness with it, it made long term wearing of it easier for this reason.

I have a clear one that I am rather fond of.  It is made of some kind of plastic not sure what.  I like the dreams I have when I sleep with it in.  I have had no illeffects form it though a Master recently discouraged me from wearing to a hockey game.  He said you should take them out every hour for at least 10 min.
