LOL

Look arouond Treasure. If your waiting for politeness and manners on a political board, you will wait a few lifetimes.

Very true, Tazzy.  But I'm a firm believer in that we teach people how to treat us.  If we accept rude behavior, then we deserve rude behavior.  [;)]

Well again, I didn't know there was a requirement to say please and may I here.

I also notice you don't use those terms yourself in responses.

My response was worded politely and I only asked for clarification of your remarks.

Which you still have not responded to, leading me to believe you have no clarification or justification.

There is a distinct difference between "government jobs" and the government fostering jobs.

I think the link was pretty clear but clarify your point.

Why? Are you unclear about the difference between the two terms?

No, I'm very clear on the difference.

What did the link say?

Which is what we seem to be debating.

Here, let me help out:

At the same time, 70 percent of those who sympathize with the Tea Party, which organized protests this week against President Barack Obama’s health-care overhaul, want a federal government that fosters job creation.

Oh I saw what the article stated. It is also a big differene between what the OP tried to make it sound like. He tried to imply that folks wanting government out of their lives and wanting government to foster an environment for job creation were somehow at odds with each other. I think they go hand in hand. Less costs (taxes related to payroll) and mandates imposed on employers by the federal government equates to more favorable hiring conditions. At least that is what conventional wisdom suggests.

Which is why we seem to be debating the difference of the two terms.

Think what you will.

I know perfectly well what I meant, and need no clarification or justification.  Several others here seem to have the same understanding.  It seems to chafe your butt not to have the same.

Sorry.  Life isn't always fair.

Big surprise that a liberal reporter for a liberal news service doesn't see the difference between "fostering job growth" (i.e., making it attractive for businesses to expand) and a "government job".

Bloomberg is a liberal news service?

I'd also question the group identification between "Tea Party backers" and those who sympathize with the Tea Party, but I'm just suspicious that way.

Yup I noticed that too.

They use 3 distinct labels.

Good catch.

Is it at all possible for you ever to respond with a clear answer to a clear question?

Yes.

Was that clear enough for you?
