Dear Mr. Anteater ....... I would like to clear up a misunderstanding if you don't mind. This way you don't need to worry about it yourself. Thank you. Dear Lance - when one is referring to the jacket as "smoking", the term "smoking" is used to represent the use of the jacket. Such as - he has a "smoking" jacket with fur cuffs and collar. When one is referring to the hotness or hippness of the article of clothing one might say "that jacket is "smokin"". One may also use both terms concerrently, which can be a bit confusing. "Domi looks smokin when he is wearing his smoking jacket. I hope this has been of assistance.
