Country music is the one type of music that talks about all kinds of relationships - friendships, grandparents, siblings.

I am sorry, but that is nonsense and hogwash of the very highest order. I call folk, for starters. Country isn't 'the one' genre to contain anything.

Exactly. What, country songs invented family? Musically, a few thousand years too late. And talking about it in superficial ways is hardly artistic achievement. Especially any musical achievement.

More seriously, of course there are country artists I respect--though not the pop crap popular on the radio as a rule.

But seriously, sunshine---get out and listen to a LOT more music. You are missing so much!

Dear Mr Floofy,

I just got completely emotionally blackmailed into staying another night at my parents' house so I can welcome mum home from her relatives-visiting trip abroad.

But I am *leaving* *tomorrow*, goddamnit-I wanna go hooooooome!

Pack now or pack at the last minute?

VC

Limey-nipples..... Pack at the last minute. otherwise your mother might feel insulted that you are packed and ready to go.

We both know how I feel about your mum

But she's the sort of person who packs aaaaages in advance, and she knows I'm staying late just for her...

And your love for my mum will never be consummated, I'm afraid-your fear of my dad (or at least the fear you *ought* to feel) is too important.

Dear Mr. Anteater,

Today, I was having a discussion with my office manager about a co-worker who gets on our nerves.  During our discussion, I said something that made my office manager spew Vitamin Water through her mouth and nose onto a stack of legal documents.  Do you think I will get a raise with this year's evaluation?

Signed,
RedWhoCausesSpewage

Dear Floofypootle,

My mum is now stranded abroad thanks to Icelandic volcanic activity shutting down the entirety of UK airspace. I only stayed at my parents' house until today to see her, and travelling back to Brizzle today would be living hell, because all the people who would normally fly London-Bristol will be crowding up MY TRAIN, but I want to go *home* to my flat and my boys and my lovely civilised city.

What to do?

First, quit whining, it is unbecoming.

Next, suck it up and head home.

Finally, I will email you my phone number so you can forward it to your mum.
