Nope.

He isn't, never has been, or ever will be any different than those that have preceded him. I never trusted what he was saying as a candidate (which is why I didn't vote for him) and I don't trust what he has to say from this point forward.

[... edited for grammar ...]

Damn! Looks like the Republicans own CNN too.

Uh....well....I thought I heard this before so I looked it up.

Any reason you are posting something from January 6th, especially since the topic has become moot after there was live C-Span coverage of the health debates since then?

Interesting though that you can have alternative points of view on CNN.

Compare that with FOX.

Did he do what he said he was going to do regarding the health care reform legislative debates?

If he did, I missed it.

They have people from the left on FOX all the time. They even interviewed some guy named Barack Obama just the other day, even asked him some tough questions. Which he obviously isn't used to... [:D]

It was in all the headlines, I'm surprised you missed it.

Then there was that Weiner guy on the O'Reily Factor, I saw that on Youtube video that Drudge linked to.

I'm truly sorry that your life is so empty all you have is this sniping on the boards.  May something nice happen for you one day.

Was that the interview with Brit Hume where he asked questions but didn't allow Obama to answer them?

In unrelated news why can't anyone on Fox pronounce Chile without it turning into Chileeey?

Also why can't Chris Wallace pronounce democratic without sounding like he is talking about the noises ducks make?

Charles Krauthammer why do you look like a corpse, can't you get the makeup people to paint a smile on your face?

Also on the O'Reilly factor why can't he point his finger directly at me rather than touring the studio with it first? It takes away the element of surprise associated with being pointed at because I know his finger pointing is going to eventually get here after going around the houses.

I ain't even going to mention autocue-cavuto.

These are the things I wonder.

I linked to the video. Are you one of those guys who can only afford dialup or something? Obama got all huffy and I thought he was going to cry because he couldn't believe that he was actually expected to answer some of those hard, hard questions.

It was hilarious.

Funny you should mention dial up because I distinctly recall that makes annoying noises when it is communicating also.

I do recall a similar interview from a different perspective, the good ones are generally the ones where there is a balance between not letting the politician waste all the time (Frost/Nixon) and letting the politician say their piece. It probably wasn't a good interview because the time allotment wasn't long enough and so Britt Hume had to be rabid about it. He is usually ok that Brit Hume when he is avoiding discussions about Tiger Woods.

God: why did you put Gretta Van Sustern's lips on upside down...why....why?

The hearings and committees that handled the reconcilliation bill were televised? Oh wait there weren't any hearings, and the reconcilliation bill was crafted behind closed doors. It seems the President also has a hard time counting to 5, as in his promise to allow the folks to look at any bill that landed on his desk for 5 days before he would sign it.

No worries the other distractions, will keep folks from focusing on those things.

don't forget to vehemently reject the health benefits coming your way.

What benefits will I be receiving that I don't already have?

I'm fond of knowing I won't be maxed out or discontinued, for starters.

Or priced out of the market.

I am not so sure about the not being priced out part... then again those greedy insurance companies might show some compassion.

Sadly, I actually did somehow naively think he would be different. It is unfortunate that he's not. The US really needed change.

I hoped I was wrong about my judgements of the man, and honestly prayed once he became President that he would bring about the change he promised (even if it was just in the discourse). Unfortunately, the sides seem to be getting more and more polarized and the rhetoric is getting worse.

I don't think he's a bad man and I think that he truly wanted the change. I think that the system he is in is so corrupt that his hands are tied. He's almost too diplomatic. He needs to grow a set of balls and do the things he said he'd do. Simply.

It's certainly less than I had hoped. But then, I knew that December and January, before he took office, when the banking bullshit blew.

The polarization I see is on the right. On the left, it's come to "Well, if we have a majority, we'll have to use it," which is what Bush did right from the start, even saying so publicly, that he had a mandate to carry out his conservative agenda.

And I see "polarization" in the sense of "throw them all out," with no plan.

I'd rather work with what we can. People will continue to ridicule that, but it's more realistic than the other options.
