In celebration of the census- we need to make an assessment on the cats in our life.  Multi selections allowed.

Feel free to state your position on the cats situation.

Two cats, one dog. The perfect balance.

I'm fond of pussy too. It's something I have in common with my lesbian/bi friends.

I have 4 cats (3 normal house cats and 1 birman cat - originally I had two cats, siblings and then took on another tabby cat who was homeless at work...where my siblings weren't too impressed about when he moved in...). The birman I am currently starting to breed (which sadly wasn't in your options ) and she will go to her "man" in 2-3 weeks time to mate (have to wait until she starts calling again which thankfully currently stopped (as currently I need to wait for my salary to afford the journey and fee for her man).

The breeding idea itself started coincidentially, wasn't planned, I only got her as I needed one who isn't keen on going outside as company to my tortie cat who is quite a scary cat and doesn't go outside much so it got obvious that she got lonely with being a lot on her own inside as the boys are outside to 85% and as I am often away due to work, uni and placement...so I needed one who prefers the inside as well...and whilst meeting the breeder the idea just developed to leave her on the active register which she was on already and to try this out. Later this year I am likely to get an oriental cat as well from my breeder (looking similar to siamese cat but having colours all over the fur) as she knows I like her red tabby oriental cat...so my cat family isn't finished yet, though it is time to find a bigger accomodation this autumn or beginning of the next year, particular as then I would have 3 breeding cats with my birman, one of her daughters and that oriental lady...also the "man" my birman is travelling to has a son who might move to me as a stud cat but for that again I would need a bigger garden for his main accomodation until he would get neutered (though that plan is in now way decided yet...it's just that she is looking for a new home for her boy and I would not mind but simply need to sort out the needs for him).

so I fully live by the theme "as more I know about men, as more I love my cats"

I adore cats and voted for options #5, 7, 8, and 9.  I don't think every home needs one, because some people are allergic to them.  I'm also not a believer in "the more cats the merrier."  In a two-bedroom townhome, I think two indoor cats are enough.  If I lived in a larger place, I'd probably get more.

The neighbor's outdoor cats come by to visit me frequently and have a snack on my porch.

It's not hell I'd worry over--it's the country rodents relocating.

Cats are a mainstay.

3 cats and 2 dogs here.

The cats are as affectionate as the dogs, with the added bonus that they catch mice and moles.

and spiders

Seriously my two girls are my life insurance in that respect...I don't mind most spiders...however, the ones which are very common here I seriously dislike as they are too huge and too fat for my taste...

now...my pepper girl had, and probably still has, the damn tendency to bring them inside...simply as she is scared outside she thinks it is a great idea to catch them whilst she is outside and to bring them inside to play as there she feels safe...and why should she care about that she freaks me out with it... I remember one night last summer where she did that fucking game 3 times...

Now, since my birman moved in I finally got more support because when the torty pepper brings them in and lets them run then birman Summer will eat them...hence since then Pepper thinks twice about if she lets it run or better chews down her throat straight away...

however, despite that habbit I do feel safer with them as simply even without her habbit they keep coming inside far too much for my taste and at least they figure them out -often even before me - and make sure to get them into reach (e.g. in case they hide behind radiators or furniture) to get squashed (in case they don't eat them quick enough).

I have one cat and one dog, they match in color, both ginger and white, although the cat is bigger than the dog which is a Jack Russell. Both animals were the type....."if noone takes them they are off to the pound", which in Australia usually means euthanasia if not adopted very quickly.

My family got them for me for company as I have been injured and unable to work for the last 2 years and I agree, it has been good having to provide care for something. Lol, they actually get better care than me!!

I just hate cats. They do make cute you tube videos though.  Then again, they make great muskie bait also.

We had two, the UM's didn't take care of them, gave one away, the other ran away.

eta our cat census
