JPMorgan, Lehman, UBS Named in Bid-Rigging Conspiracy
JPMorgan Chase & Co., Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and UBS AG were among more than a dozen Wall Street firms involved in a conspiracy to pay below-market interest rates to U.S. state and local governments on investments, according to documents filed in a U.S. Justice Department criminal antitrust case. A government list of previously unidentified “co- conspirators” contains more than two dozen bankers at firms also including Bank of America Corp., Bear Stearns Cos., Societe Generale, two of General Electric Co.’s financial businesses and Salomon Smith Barney, the former unit of Citigroup Inc., according to documents filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan on March 24. The papers were filed by attorneys for a former employee of CDR Financial Products Inc., an advisory firm indicted in October. The attorneys, as part of their legal filing, identified the roster as being provided by the government. The document is labeled “list of co-conspirators.” None of the firms or individuals named on the list has been charged with wrongdoing. The court records mark the first time these companies have been identified as co-conspirators. They provide the broadest look yet at alleged collusion in the $2.8 trillion municipal securities market that the government says delivered profits to Wall Street at taxpayers’ expense./snip Full article here

Just think... in a resource based economy, conspiracies will become a thing of the past... ;-)

Tavakoli's commentary is headlined "How to Corner the Gold Market" and you can find it at the Tavakoli Structured Finance Internet site here: http://www.tavakolistructuredfinance.com/Gold.pdf

interesting-  But I think it will be simpler then what she lays out.

mnottertail -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 7:05:52 AM)

LOL, you mr gold and silver buyer are a tool of JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs.

Skunk smells his own hole first.

Be ready for your day of reckoning and dispair when the NWO cuts the rug out from underneath you and augers gold and silver in the shitter.

pahunkboy -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 7:15:32 AM)

I see you have not been paying attention.

mnottertail -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 7:20:41 AM)

silver sideways for the year, gold sideways for the year.

couple big drops as they took profits.

LOL, I buy and sell that shit every day, of course I pay attention.

Musicmystery -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 7:22:40 AM)

Ron, he means you don't listen to the voice on the TV.

No you don't.

Musicmystery -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 7:26:30 AM)

The man on the TV would have told him.

Jeffff -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 7:27:59 AM)

They'll get my gold when they dig it up out of My back yard,... next to the middle tree.

Oops, I probably shouldn't have posted that huh?

Hunky?.... how has your investment paid off so far? You keep touting it so give us an idea.

What is the percentage it has increased?

mnottertail -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 7:30:27 AM)

LOL, Tim......

Nor do I listen to the voice inside my head, this is a dispassionate business, hogs get slaughtered, and lambs.

When there is unreasonable exhuberance in the market or when there is unreasonable pessimism, the prudent thing is look at where you are today and get out of it, (that is short term positions) whatever position you hold (with profit hopefully) as quick as you can.

Myriad idiots cause chaos and demand, or chaos and dearth.

Pendulums swing, but they gotta come thru the center to do it (that would be twice as often as either apex for the non-mathematicians in the house).

Consider this wisely, grasshopper.

Musicmystery -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 7:34:22 AM)

I don't have time to watch markets daily. Nor would I want to.

I'm a fundamentals man. I choose well structured situations, and let the daily shit fall and wash away.

That and I don't watch TV. Nor listen to the committee of voices we all carry in our heads.

pahunkboy -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 7:35:53 AM)

http://www.the-privateer.com/gold2.html

10.39 % on gold

27.83% on silver

pahunkboy -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 7:41:43 AM)

These hearings they had are a big deal.  In effect the house defined an ounce of gold to be 100 oz.     that means for every claim of 1 oz- 100 have been sold.

of course the main media wont cover it.

But you can bet serious investors have noticed it.

mnottertail -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 7:53:51 AM)

Yes, good thinking when money is involved. As springsteen said, Soon as you've got something they send someone to try and take it away....

for details...

mnottertail -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 8:07:10 AM)

yup. dont even have to look at the link, and it is what I been telling you all along, and you are doing a 180 on your postings, but still thinking that Alex is a visionary.

Try taking the MOST effective medication, and start selling if you can make money in it.

pahunkboy -> RE: market rigging JPM (3/31/2010 8:08:32 AM)

would I take real medication, or PAPER medication?
