Actually, it was an e-mail campaign, which we all know has its root somewhere. The web page the article refers too is one of the facebook accounts owned by the woman they arrested.

...as stated elsewhere on these fora and roundly ignored by those who'd prefer to see a big bad leftist bogeyman.....Coulter cancelled her own engagement because she couldn't handle the exercise of free speech by those who disagreed with her. She absolutely was not prevented from speaking....she chickened out.

......she wasn't barred from speaking. That's the bottom line. You have suggested that she was, in some way, prevented from doing so.....but that's entirely false. So what if people decided to exercise their right to free speech and say they didn't like what she has said in the past. All they're doing is saying what they consider to be truth. Coulter decided not to speak, and then tried to pretend she'd been censored.
She's an outspoken woman who says what, i assume, she believes to be true. However, it's clear that other people being equally outspoken is not to her taste, if they disagree with her. Some advocate of free speech eh?

The news reports that were out initially have been canceled, in fact you can't find any real news about the event online at all, can you.

It must be like China or Cuba or the old Soviet Russia up there, if it isn't news thats blessed by the liberal elite then it didn't happen.

But by the same token neither can you prove your bs story that they were all these wonderful, peaceful, smiling, open-minded people who caused her to have to stay away.

.......well, as i am capable of finding a few articles about the event and you can't, then perhaps the only conclusion that can be drawn is that us liberals are better at google than you.

As for those who exercised their free speech against Coulter, not all of them were wonderful or smiling. Probably not all of them were open minded either.......something they have in common with La Coulter, which probably wouldn't cheer them up. However, they were peaceful. At least as peaceful as the Tea Baggers you are so fond of.

Sanity,how about you stop dickering with the meanings of words....she either chose to cancel, or she was barred from speaking(your oft stated opinion).
Now unless the powers that be barred her from speaking,than bottom line she chose not to...her reasoning behind making that choice does not in any way shape or form change the fact that she chose to  not do so.
You want to offer mitigation..be my guest,but you don't get to alter a basic truth for sheer convienence.
