jlf1961 -> The more things change, the more they stay the same (3/28/2010 7:55:40 PM)

In the past, every time I read anything in any of the discussion groups I am a member of, when someone talked about the NWO or FEMA Detention Camps or ANYTHING to do with 9/11, the single person behind it was President Bush.

Now that he is gone, it is the Federal Government under President Obama that is pushing the NWO or FEMA Detention Camps.

This tells me that the conspiracy theorists don't care who is in power, because whoever it is will still be doing all this secret, enslave the country things to further some world wide conspiracy agenda, no matter how diametrically opposed to the whole idea the person in office is.

IF the NWO is a right wing conspiracy, then a liberal President would not be acting to support it. If it is some left wing agenda, then a right wing conservative President would be opposed to the whole idea.

Now if this activity is going on without the input or support of the President and congress, then why the hell hasn't the NWO supporters just go ahead and take over the country and stop the pretense of a government for the people altogether?

In other words, it does not matter what is going on in the political environment, the people who see conspiracies behind every action is going to see what they want to see.

Thus, no matter how much things change, they stay the same.

The NWO hedges its bets and is playing both side of the aisle. That seems simple enough to grasp.

tazzygirl -> RE: The more things change, the more they stay the same (3/28/2010 8:05:44 PM)

OK... here is a link that details the EO's which gave FEMA power... take a look and explain how these are bad things?

This is precisely what this barrage of high tax legislation is all about.  cap and trade, HC, bank reform- TARP, bankruptcy- the grab for power has been going on for the past 10 years-

thornhappy -> RE: The more things change, the more they stay the same (3/28/2010 8:41:41 PM)

Yeah, but look what Jeff said. You're mentioning 10 years, which covers a conservative president and a liberal one.  Why would the NWO play both sides of the aisle?

Oh yeah, IIRC the first talk about a "NWO" was in the Bush 41 administration.

Yup, through the terms of a conservative and liberal president and houses of congress... thus making your point that the President is behind it all flawed.

Brain -> RE: The more things change, the more they stay the same (3/28/2010 9:38:15 PM)

This is the only new world order.

New world order (politics), any period of history evidencing a dramatic change in world political thought and the balance of power
This one isn't true and it is ridiculous to believe it.

New World Order (conspiracy theory), a conspiracy theory in which a group is conspiring to rule the world via world government and globalization
I can't take it anymore.

jlf1961 -> RE: The more things change, the more they stay the same (3/28/2010 10:03:43 PM)

Brain, the point I was making is that no matter if it is the Republicans or Democrats in power, the same argument is used, the GOVERNMENT is behind all these conspiracies.

This point thus nullifies the argument that there is such a conspiracy, since the conspiracy cannot be both conservative and liberal at the same time.

For a single world government to work, it would have to be based in some form of socialist or theocratic government.

This means either we have a society where everyone is equal and wars are a thing of the past (which wouldn't work because of nationalism) or we have some sort of Religiously controlled central government (which would not work because of the "sin" factor and the fact that most people wouldn't follow church rules period.)

A form of covert government run by some economic power block would not work due to the instability of the world economy. In essence, if such a group were in the position to exert this kind of control, we would not be in the current economic mess we are in now (which shoots hunky's theory that we are under the control of some group of banks in the foot.)

Brain, but many people are against globalization of any kind.
Not just the "good" or "bad" kind.

Come on stoopids ! What do I have to tell you everything ?

OK, Obama is President. He beat McCain. This is reality, and fact. Unlike the Bush election with all the shennanegins, I think he really got elected and I supported him, until I found out that change was $1.41 from a five dollar bill for a gallon of gas.

Now drift your focus awat from the pretty boy who got the chair. The guy with the dark suit and red tie that compliments his skin color and makes him look good. Forget about the old guy who advertised a hundred year war in Iraq. Forget about the actor, the peanut farmer and all the other Presidents and take a step back. It is plain to see they all do the same thing. Oh a little bit different style, big fucking deal.

But now that you are here, if you are here, in all these Presidential elections, tell me this : Just who chose those candidates ?

What are their names ? I could probably name a few, but not all. Now if their job is to vet candidates to run for the head of the nearly strongest country in the world, who do you suppose they work for ? It is certinly not us, the Citizens.

And no, it is not a cnspiracy, because it succeeded it is now called a successful plan. Or are you stooooooopid enough to think that one person did it ? It is not a conspiracy, although since I have five $5 bags of weed because it was the only way to get it at the time, they would charge me conspiracy to sell weed.

Most frequently in history, the best conspirators define what a conspiracy is, and guess what ! They are nowhere near as self destructive as we are. That is how they won.

And it is really a class war. It walks like a class war and talks like a class war. It looks and smells like a class war. What do you think it is ?

jlf1961 -> RE: The more things change, the more they stay the same (3/29/2010 3:38:05 PM)

The real question is, who in their right minds would want the headaches involved in trying to control a world full of individuals?

The Soviets found out that "Re-education" doesnt work, you just have to eliminate the dissidents.

A truly socialist society suffers from the fact that there are always some group of elite, the people that run everything, thus, eventually, the masses start to protest. The fear of the police or military is less than the desire for change.

The same is true for Theocratic societies, religious oppression breeds dissent against those in power, Iraq is a good example. In that country, people are protesting the control the religious elite have over the society, and that government is just a little over 30 years old. You cant keep a people under control for any great length of time when they know there is something better.

The same would happen with a centralized world government, eventually, people would lose their fear of the controlling force and rise up against it, most likely in nationalist movements. People identify with the place of their birth, not some centralized power that dictates to people what they are to believe.

The biggest problem with the idea of a NWO is the fact that there are groups of people that just will not co-exist with each other without fighting. A centralized government would be spending untold resources to stop ethnic and religious fighting all over the globe. Eventually the government would become financially unable to control the world and the experiment would fail, if ever attempted in the first place.

The same would be true for some covert economic group trying to control the planet, the cultural conflicts would create economic chaos and eventually affect the world economy, with disastrous effects.

Aw hell, I thought the NWO was finally defeated, years ago??

Add to that list 'grasscrete' an innocuous perversion of nature to produce durable driveways and living car parks.
