And their effort to lure contributors by highlighting “invited guests” on the invitation — a time-honored fundraising sleight of hand — blew up when former Sarah Palin’s camp told POLITICO that they had twice asked the committee to remove her name.

Whoaaa, wait... she's not Sarah Palin anymore?

Thanks, for posting that picture. For us moderates who despise McCain and Palin almost as much as Obama, we need all the help we can get. It's a shame that many democrats can't see that the democratic party has been taken over by left wing radicals, because half the republicans can see that the republican party has been taken over by RINO's. This is why a good many people refused to vote for McCain in his own party. If our govn. was truly conservative there would be no national debt, no gay marriage, no illegal immigration, no unfair free trade, and no unnecessary abortion.

I realize that this forum is non representative of the real world with about half of you approving of gay marriage, and abortion; but you would think you would at least support limited federal government control over your lives, the Constitution as it should protect legal citizens from reverse language discrimination and invasion, and only constitutionally authorized spending. About 90% of the agencies, and programs congress has created are unconstitutional according to the 10th amendment, and this is why we have a $10 trillion national debt. Even the national park system is unconstitutional. 90% of the time it's a local person driving into their local park. How can that fall under the ICC. Oh i suppose you can even make printing tshirts fall under the ICC if you argue that the cotton that produced the shirts crossed state lines, but let's get real. Their health care plan is not constitutionally authorized since it does not cross states lines. 90% of the time it is a local person walking into their local hospital. The only thing they can regulate is medical equipment sold across state lines, drugs sold across state lines, and insurance companies that cross state lines. It's the same way with guns. If a manufacturer sets up shop to only make guns that are sold in that state, the feds have no authority to regulate their sales.

When are you people going to wake up.

By the way, the reason i consider myself to be a moderate instead of a true conservative is because i recognize that no one is ever going to vote for anyone who promises to do away with social security. Although technically this is not authorized in the constitution either. It says promote the general welfare, not hand out welfare, and once you receive more than you paid in, it is indeed welfare.

By the way, I"m more concerned about how Congress spends our money in unconstitutional federal programs and how they have now resorted to backdoor taxes to get it, knowing full well that anyone who raises income taxes gets voted out in the next election.

In case you don't know what backdoor or hidden taxes are, they are taxes, fees or penalties imposed on corporations, businesses, financial institutions and/or energy companies that are eventually passed on to you the consumer. Democrats think you aren't smart enough to figure that out.

Bush Sr., read my lips "No New Taxes." He was gone in the next election.

First you're moderate, then you're conservative, and your example is the conservative purge of moderates from the Republican party.

Left wing radicals have no voice in government. Nobody's gonna through Earth First a bone. Even the Jesse Jacksons and the Al Sharptons are more tolerated than anything else, then ignored.

And Obama is as far from radical left as can be. He's not even much of a progressive. Wherever these leftist radicals that have taken over the party are, they sure as shit aren't sitting in Congress.

Look, if Republicans are cool with their money used this way, it's their business. It's a contradiction, but then so is their platform.

I can say that if the DNC did this, I'd be pissed.

The latest update on the fiscally conservative Republican Party:

No. 2 GOP senator upset by RNC spending practices

WASHINGTON – Two top congressional Republicans said Sunday the Republican National Committee must be held accountable for the way it uses the money it raises in light of nearly $2,000 spent for a night at a sex-themed Hollywood nightclub.

"This kind of thing has got to stop or they won't get any contributions," said Sen. Jon Kyl of Arizona, the No. 2 Republican in the Senate.

Kyl and Rep. Kevin McCarthy of California, who is leading the GOP effort to recruit candidates and elect House members, distanced themselves from RNC Chairman Michael Steele when discussing the committee's controversial spending.

Steele has come under fire for committee spending on flights, limousines and high-end hotels, but he was not present at the Voyeur Hollywood West on Jan. 31 when a group of young Republicans ran a tab picked up by the RNC.

After reporters noted the bill in a funding report, the RNC fired a staffer it blamed for the outing and said it would be reimbursed by a donor who had attended.

Yesterday, a little bird told me that the RNC's chief of staff had resigned following the blondage debacle. But those two events are completely unrelated .
