Status: offline 		Was Dumbledore really killed in the last book or was it planned on dumbledores end and hes still alive?
I say Dumbledores dead and Snape is a crook.

Status: offline 		Had this very conversation with my unmentionable who also follows the books too,......... Just before Dumbledore " dies" he tells Draco Malfoy that Voldemort cannot hurt the boy and his family "if you are already dead." He's also told  "we can hide you more completely than you could possibly imagine" and that no one would be surprised "if you died in your attempt to kill me" and " we had captured and killed your mother" and that his father was safe at the moment in Azkaban. It sounds like to me that if they could have made it appear that Draco was killed to fool Voldemort,  they could do the same and make it APPEAR that Dumbledore was dead for the same reason.
But I also think that Snape is on the side of the good...because Dumbledore says again that he trusts him....and even though Snape APPEARS to kill Dumbledore, he seems to make a special effort to try to get everyone to leave "quickly" after the death before anyone can investigate too closely. ( giving Dumbledore time to escape and make it appear he is dead?)
Just a guess...but it makes sense to me....

Status: offline 		Snape also could have attacked Harry afterward, but only fought defensively, which makes me think that the whole Dumbledore death was faked.

Actually, and my fault for not making it clear, I was referring to the OP.....more of a "how bizarro" response to this and her other threads than a "you're identical in posting to j-kapower"...not funny, just an out loud musing on my part........"retarded" huh........lmao....at least my posts aren't filled with endless whining. Still too obtuse for you?

Status: offline 		TBH, I think snape's sense of self preservation overtook his alleigences. Dumbledore IS dead, anything less would lessen his sacrifice. Next book seems a bit naf. (collecting four horcrux, beating the final boss, playing through the bonus level?)

I'm more interested in seeing what rowling will do next.

Status: offline 		Dunno, I've only read through Book 5 so far.  Waiting for Half-Blood Prince to come out in paperback, since all my others are paperbacks.  Gotta be consistent.
