None of that will be rolled back

The future has yet to be written...

Well unless you would figure out how to roll back the tide....some things are indeed set in stone.

Do you think it a coincidence that out of all the millions of Tea Partiers that one individual was singled out by the notoriously Liberal CNN for that Larry King interview?

This sums it up pretty well. I watched Larry King last night and saw an angry old man from the LV Tea Party interviewed and he was saying "...the govt is out of control...they want to take over everything...all these new taxes....what about my Social Security?" And then there was the classic sign from the Tea Party march on Washington last Sept: "Govt, keep your hands off my Medicare."

It does make you think...

well, millions seems to be fantasy.

Its the CNN estimates that are pure fantasy.

What does CNN stand for. The Creating News Network? Because they don't report the facts, they create them out of thin air.

I think you have a point, although I don't think CNN is really "Liberal." They are quite centrist compared to Fox or MSNBC, but I digress...

CNN has done a good job portraying the Tea Party movement fairly, and even Larry King was fair last night, although I agree it would be nice if just once an intelligent, articulate, informed Tea Partier were the front man. After all, they have some legitimate gripes that should be taken seriously. But they don't help themselves with their choice of messengers, i.e., Sara Palin, Tom Tancredo, Glen Beck, Joe the Plumber, etc. Hell, even Fox and Friends tried to find a "credible" Tea Party spokesman for their morning show and it backfired because the women was a loon. Somebody posted a clip of it on one of these threads earlier.

Maybe you should just admit that the party movement is more angry than informed, instead of assuming that everyone else just doesn't get it.

Yes, jeff the the poor blogger says so. I guess I was unaware of his being a census worker so early on in the year. Maybe thats what tripped me up.

domiguy -> RE: Which America? (3/30/2010 12:59:37 PM)

We tea baggers are just a group of concerned citizens that choose to have our concerns created by Sara Palin, Tom Tancredo, Glen Beck and Joe the Plumber.

If you can't trust these people to let you know what you should be concerned about who can you trust?

cloudboy -> RE: Which America? (3/30/2010 1:25:39 PM)

You are my anti-hero!

Who is Tom Tancredo?

LaTigresse -> RE: Which America? (3/30/2010 2:38:07 PM)

I was just thinking the exact same thing.

pahunkboy -> RE: Which America? (3/30/2010 2:58:29 PM)

CNN ended up not airing the Alex interview.

Must have been his rant on them being a cheerleader for wars.

mnottertail -> RE: Which America? (3/30/2010 3:00:23 PM)

Yeah, I am sure it didnt have anything to do with his being a fucking moron.

Hey, I coughed on air and that segment went over 3 seconds.

Cut the moron.

pahunkboy -> RE: Which America? (3/30/2010 3:07:18 PM)

that then makes you a  cheerleader for war.

talk about blood on ones hands.

ThatDamnedPanda -> RE: Which America? (3/30/2010 3:13:27 PM)

Happening to notice that Alex is insane means you're for the war?

Huh. Who knew?

pahunkboy -> RE: Which America? (3/30/2010 3:17:09 PM)

I posted his 15 minutes of interview.

He is right on.    If you look- I am sure it is still on his website.

...and then tell me what else anyone needs to know before getting angry.

I'll read it and post my thoughts tonight, but whatever is in this report doesn't negate what I have already said. Most of these Tea Partiers haven't read the report either. When you have them protesting a "government takeover of healthcare" and in the same breath demanding that the "government not fuck with their Medicare" then it's pretty obvious who is angry, who is informed, and who is just fucking stupid.

Yes, because some far-right radical website called Newsbusters is far more credible than a national news network that has received numerous awards for its journalism.

Sanity -> RE: Which America? (3/30/2010 3:55:44 PM)

I think that anyone who isn't angry at this point is, as you say, just fucking stupid. Maybe it isn't the Tea Partiers who are 'uninformed' because this isn't  rocket science. Its not about health care, thats a side issue, thats what you're narrowly focused on. The real anger is over the debt, which is being pushed to the point that its fast becoming unsustainable, and our leaders aren't decelerating deficit spending, they're accelerating.

Obamacare is just piling it on.
