Status: offline 		I would probably deafen them with my excited shriek of delight, give them a big hug and them drag them inside or to a coffee shop nearby.  My house has absolutely no food in it at the moment so I am currently trying to figure out where to take my friend who is staying for breakfast - wtf is open on good friday damnit?

Status: offline 		I don't do the drop-in's which means I don't like them either. We have one friend that doesn't have a cell phone and lives quite a distance from us, so when he's in the area he just drops by. Argh! Not much I can do about it.... you know, old dogs and new tricks kinda thing.

if your a friend...i choose the accept me as I am. i'm not a slob but not perfect either. i'm a happy lived in sort of clean which can be turned into pretty darn good in under a couple hours...(i need to dust, dusting is so cumbersome that i actually move slower than time, easily distracted....god i hate dusting.)

Status: offline 		My place is usually pretty tidy, but I don't like surprises, especially guests... unless it's DB... and He has a key.  If people are in the area, they need to call in advance because I would never dream of dropping in on someone.  We women tend to like knowing when folks are coming so we can get it all pretty-fied and show it off.  If someone invites themselves over to my place without me doing the inviting, I tend to get pissed, and almost 100% of the time, I will make myself unavailable for company.

Me too, for 25 years I had an open door policy and any friend was welcome anytime, I was a single mother and enjoyed both male and female company, and I was known for the best tea, coffee, biscuits and 'numbers'. Ohh dear, where have all the years gone??? I am now a respectable grandmother...lol

Now-a-days, since being injured I can't keep my house to my standards I have people ring first
