What you have when this happens, is a stalemate situation. It's really not worth it in my book if you have to apply to someone without really knowing them first. If they were known (and how many does one know publicly and accepting applications?) and advertising for submissives or slaves, then that would be one thing. But if a dom is here online and portraying himself or herself as some self-appointed demi-god of sorts, then with that notion you'd have to accept him/her on what? Faith? Trust? Respect? It doesn't seem likely someone in their right mind would agree to applying under those conditions. If it don't appeal to you, then it's better to move on, since instincts are your best bet. "If it seems to good to be true, then it probably is..." This I see applies.
