MorpheusIkelos -> no reply to inqueries (4/2/2006 9:39:14 PM)

Hello everyone,
I have a question to pose (and a bit of venting to do). I am angered by the amount of rude people that call themselfs subs or slaves that email me first and never reply to my return email. I would never think of not responding to someone I wrote to first. When I take the time to reply to an email that someone sent to me, I expect a reply within a reasonable amount of time. By this I mean within around a week or so. I could at least respect someone if they wrote back "No thank you" or Go ***k yourself.
Where are some peoples manners? Were they taught manners by their parents? Have others received this kind of treatment? If so how do you handle it? I feel writing a responce back informing them of their rudness would be a waste of time. Does anyone agree or dissagree?
Thank you for your replys and letting me vent a bit.
Respectfully,
Morpheus

cariad -> RE: no reply to inqueries (4/2/2006 9:52:08 PM)

with all due respect Sir, what about those Doms who do NOT respect a slaves right to have a Protector, and then call the said Protector a "so called Protector?" or those who accuse a slave of not being a slave because she happens to state she owns something in her profile ? hmmmm?

while this slave has written to Doms first she has had some who wrote her first, and those she was not interested in, she was polite in saying as much. those she was interested in she spoke with in length only to find out a few of them were wannabe's, or plain ole HnG's.

this slave has a Protector and had a Dom say  and she quotes "I do NOT take orders from anyone." well excuse her but the only thing her Protector told this Dom was to take it slow with her, because this slave has been hurt, used and abused so badly in the past she almost gave up on everything she cared the most about.

being a slave..

so before You go lumping us slaves all into one category, get to know others here afore judging us all. yes girl agrees with You that some subs/slaves have no right to call themselves such because they lack the manners to be a sub/slave, but don't lump us all into one category please Sir

There are courteous and polite people. There are rude and impolite people - period, anywhere, any lifestyle, any place. When someone treats me in a manner i consider rude i move on and am thankful i didn't have to waste a lot of time finding out.  Life is too short to get upset over things that really don't matter.

girl couldn't agree more with you .... no matter where W/we go in life, there are always going to be people who are rude and those who are polite.....girl goes out of her way to be polite to A/all until given a reason not to.

"Do Unto O/others as Y/you would have T/them Do Unto Y/you" is so very true and if someone is rude to You then turn the other cheek and walk away becoming a better Person for having done so.

Blessed Be

BrutalAntipathy -> RE: no reply to inqueries (4/3/2006 8:46:37 PM)

I expect better manners in D/s than in the rest of the world, and always feel a bit dejected when someone shatters my delusion. But look at the bright side, they are helping you weed through the poseurs and wannabes. In their own rude way, they are doing you a favor.

Badkitty0810 -> RE: no reply to inqueries (4/3/2006 9:05:52 PM)

Here's my 2 cents. Your profile indicates that you're a Dominant/alpha male.  That being said, if you allow you other people's rudeness to upset you, aren't you basically allowing their behavior to control how you feel? By acknowledging their rudeness and allowing it to upset you to the point where you feel the need to vent about it, you're giving them the power that they don't deserve. My feeling is that if someone is rude, you're best off to ignore them and move on.  If they're rude to you initially, you should consider it a blessing because you found out sooner rather than later and you haven't wasted much time with them.  [:)]

LOL well put !  You have open this old canine's eyes and reminded him about the truth in the matter.

Right on!  My father used to tell me "first one to lose his temper loses"

candystripper -> RE: no reply to inqueries (4/4/2006 5:55:46 AM)

Well, yes, it is considerate of the rude and ill-mannered to "out" themselves so quickly, but i do share Your mystification at a sub who initiates contact then refuses it.  Sounds like she has "issues"; another nice thing to know ahead of time.

Why on earth would you expect manners in this lifestyle? People are people, no matter what kind of life they live.

Let me start by saying it is NOT only subs/slaves that do this! Doms are also quite guilty of this one.

That said; there are rude people in a walks of life. If they were not polite enough to respond are they really someone you want in your life anyway?

I agree with BadKitty and Mr. Warren here, move on and be glad you did.

ehlovindom -> RE: no reply to inqueries (4/11/2006 7:04:42 PM)

It just is. No need to waste your time worrying about things you can't control. Move on and don't look back.

sawneysbeen -> RE: no reply to inqueries (4/12/2006 1:48:33 AM)

we all feel a bit aggrieved when we see a profile and think "God! She is special" but they don't reply - maybe it is because they look special to 100's of others too... and by the time they have sifted through lot's of messages that start with "Kneel before me, Bitch", they simply don't want to look at any more once they find someone they are interested in
that said, I am bemused by those that reply to an e-mail and give me their messenger address then totally ignore me when i try to use it - their loss I'm afraid
Maybe their Mums have found out what they are doing and banned them from using the computer - or am I being too cynical

Isn't that what the Journal and Edit Profile is for?  Just my thoughts.  If you have found someone, it should be on your profile or specify that you are taken and only willing to be 'friends'.

And if they still get upset, oh well they didn't read.  LoL
