To counteract the propoganda spread by the Taliban and Al Qaida, the UK invited some of the top Mullahs to visit Muslims living in the UK. I think this is a good way forward, as it will help dispel all the lies of how Westerners treat Muslims. Full story below.

Anything that promotes religious tolerance has to be a good thing and worth the effort.

In reply to PA, my understanding of Islam, is they also frown upon the misuse of drugs, if it could be put across the damage that the Afghanistan poppy field creates in other countries, including those of their faith, quite possibly they may act on it. To a muslim, being told by the religious leaders what they do is not godly, means a lot. If a viable alternative crop is suggested, maybe, they will change what they farm, and that coming from inside the country is far better than everywhere else saying stop it. The Afghanistani's from what I understand, are a proud race or people, they will not be told by foreigners.
