Venatrix -> April Roll Call (4/6/2010 8:34:59 AM)

All right, I'll start it this month.

I just got the best news ever, which some of you have learnt of privately, and if I could bottle this feeling and sell it, I'd be the richest person on the planet. Unfortunate side effects consist of dancing around the kitchen to Sheena Easton and Tom Jones (ladies, please don't throw your soiled knickers at me).

I can only hope that the rest of you are as happy as I am. Care to share? And, even if you're not as happy as I am, share anyway.

SweetDommes -> RE: April Roll Call (4/6/2010 8:42:37 AM)

We're doing fairly well here - puppies are growing nicely, and we have at least one of them sold. The only negative that I know of at the moment is that one of my hamsters decided to try and kill me a few minutes ago, so I'm bleeding from about 8 little puncture wounds lol ...

General news is that we all still have jobs, I have an appointment to finally get back on my birth control, and as long as the ground is dry enough, I'll be starting our garden tomorrow when I'm off work.

MistressOfGa -> RE: April Roll Call (4/6/2010 12:16:39 PM)

I almost started this thread yesterday <s>

I have exciting news too. I am now the proud owner of a guide dog! Or at least he will be when he grows up :) Right now he is a guide dog puppy in training. His name is Conner and I am so happy! I have been waiting three years for this. Yes, Venatrix, I am as happy as you are [:D]

In other news, I am taking a much needed break from any BDSM activities. I am on the healing road and am just taking my time on this road. Too much hurt in too short of time. But I am a survivor, I will continue my journey and see where this road leads. If it leads me back to this lifestyle, then so be it, if it doesn't, then I am ok with that too. Right now my main concentration is getting Conner the best training he can get. If ever I needed a lifeline, now is the perfect time.

I hope everyone is well and happy. Hugs to those who want them <Hugs>

this month, i am sorting through a few promising prospects for my first sub (yay!) and going to California on vacation for a week (yay!). pretty much yayness all around.

Madame4a -> RE: April Roll Call (4/6/2010 1:15:11 PM)

Well.. I am in a much better place than I was at the end of March.. displaced from my office.. and eventually down in Florida for a long time taking care of my ailing Mom.. luckily the boy came with me for most of the time and provided calm and steady support -- what on earth would I do without her?

As this month opens... its RIDING season... YAY!  I put about 300 miles under my belt in the last few days so I'm thrilled...

and interrupted.. so I'll finish later

MsVengeange -> RE: April Roll Call (4/6/2010 2:40:49 PM)

Spent the end of March wiping mace/pepper spray from my eyes (female bouncer) sending the rest of the week into overdrive with training a slave boy to serve on a Professional basis. While training my sissy slut slave to dress appropriately in public, I paraded him in a few stores.

Now I have to prepare slut for a Fetish party next weekend in Manhattan.

LaTigresse -> RE: April Roll Call (4/6/2010 2:50:26 PM)

Dammit Ven! You are supposed to tell us what 'the best news ever' actually IS!

I am happy for you though, whatever it is.

Spring has sprung and it is my favourite time of year. I've been so busy it seems I am meeting myself coming and going. People are actually buying my prints, AND making requests......yes, they actually want to pay me to come take photos for them! Amazing. Not that I am getting rich, truth be told I haven't made enough to pay for all the equipment, not by a long shot. But it is fun and something to do outside of my boring, bill paying, job.

The above, in addition to all the other stuff I end up getting involved in during this time of year, means zero time to slave hunt, but that's okay too. I am looking forward to lots of riding. Both horse and motocross bike (new thing).

I am also getting a new puppy......wasn't planned. Never wanted 3 dogs in the house again. But my sister bred her fancy smancy male german shepherd, which I have always ADORED and as payment, gets pick of the litter. She does not want another dog right now so offered it to me as a birthday present. I get to pick her(the puppy) up when I go out to visit the first of June. I am sure she will be as wonderful as her father and mother are.

LdyyR -> RE: April Roll Call (4/6/2010 3:14:04 PM)

The first weekend of April has started my month off as the month to be beat. I had the most wonderful of wonderful weekends in a long time. I spent Friday aftenoon till Monday afternoon camping with a group of between 15-25 on any of the given days and nights. It was exhausting and so much fun. Considering I'm no where near the athlete (who am I kidding, I'm more closer to couch potatoe), of most of the group, I am so appreciative of their generosity of enclusiveniss.

Some kayaked, swam, fished, biked, and hiked, played music and sang around the campfire. I may not be having the best D/s lifestyle, but, I wouldn't trade these moments for anything. life is grand in spite of not having to deal with being someone's fantasy entertainer. But, yes, occasionally my mind glazed over on rope and a nice male body being entwined. [:D]

sweetboundesire -> RE: April Roll Call (4/6/2010 3:14:23 PM)

Happy for ya all & your good words:) the rain is falling, leaves are sprouting out of the trees:)

I'm planning a camp out with a girlfriend & happily hearing about other female friends & their female loves.spring is a goddess. Presently, the upswing over this way is good friends. Hanging with a friend tonight, grabbing an umbrella & walking his super awesome dog:) good down time & enjoing mother nature.

LadyPact -> RE: April Roll Call (4/6/2010 6:35:42 PM)

Whatever it is, Ven, I'm happy for you!

I think the best way to describe My current status is bouncing back.  Though, as I'm getting older, the bounce doesn't happen quite as fast as it used to.  [8D]

Unfortunately, My other half didn't progress the way he should have after his shoulder surgery a few months back.  Some scar tissue had formed and there was really no alternative but to repeat the procedure.  Of all days, the scheduling landed it right on our wedding anniversary.  (No kidding.)

The very same day I got that wonderful news, My daughter, who just had My second Grandchild a couple of months ago, called to tell Me, guess what?  Pregnant again.  (Not kidding on that one, either.)

Then, there's My youngest, who officially was the last fledgling to leave the nest.  Last week, he packed all of his personal things up and went off to Basic Training.  I know it's what he's always wanted to do, but there's an odd feeling when the last one leaves home.  I admit that I'm moping around a bit, but in all fairness, it's an adjustment.  Hopefully, I'll snap out of it soon.

On the animal front, all of our indoor cats have now been made ready for when we head to the next duty station (HI) in six months.  They got their first round of shots and computer tracking chips last month.  Due to MP's limited driving ability, I get to drive them for the second round.  (Can we say non stop meowing for an hour each way?)  The female outdoor cat who adopted us when we moved here had kittens this past week.  (I was worried sick over them being a day old out in the rain somewhere.  Yes, big, bad Lady Pact.  Shoot Me.)

I don't know who's going to need the stress relief more from a good scene when clip's here next weekend.  I'm sure that will help Me get My head straight.  LOL.

Oh, all right! It's actually not all that interesting, unless you're me, but I was finally able to claim British citizenship through my mother, and I found out today that they approved my application, so that means when I move back to the UK one month from tomorrow, I will arrive a full citizen. My only regret is that my mother didn't live long enough to see the change in the law. It would have meant a lot to her to know that she could finally pass this on to me.

Really, though, it's lovely to hear that so many of you have things going so well. Even you, LP, will work through your discombobulation to be fully re-combobulated soon, I am sure.

You are a survivor and I am thrilled for you!

And I got a job that pays well!!!!

LadyHibiscus -> RE: April Roll Call (4/6/2010 8:17:25 PM)

HUZZAH for everyone's good news!!

I am counting down to the end of tax season... and a birthday! My parents and I were born within the same ten day period, so cheesecake for everyone!

On other fronts, I am single and loving it, knitting while reclining (because chronic fatigue is full of failsauce) and working on getting as much REM sleep as possible. I have been having some seriously amazing dreams. Mostly just my brain entertaining itself, but I did get to visit with Emma, my first guinea pig, so that was good. For the first time in my life I am actually worried about money, but since I will have a roof over my head and food to eat, I am tempering my worry with perspective. Still, Michigan is a scary place, economically.

The first clutch of chicks is due any day now!

SweetDommes -> RE: April Roll Call (4/7/2010 8:41:15 PM)

We already have our chickens - we're planning to start moving the larger ones outside soon. I think we're going to put up an electric fence up this weekend to keep the neighborhood dogs (and our dogs) out of the pen.

AlexandraLynch -> RE: April Roll Call (4/7/2010 11:28:24 PM)

Life is not too bad. My husband and I are working on various impact implements to sell....I have about ten assorted paddles hanging up letting the first clearcoat dry in the dining room, in fact. Both my boys are doing well, and I'll beat one Saturday night, and the other is coming up Sunday to help another dom build kennels so that we can get the whelping box out of the playroom before the party on the 17th. The novel would go along faster if I wasn't spending six hours a day immersed in my sister's romantic problems, but that promises to resolve shortly. I did work out one troublesome plot point last night in the bathtub. I need to get a recorder and put in there so I can just state aloud the idea.

LadyHugs -> RE: April Roll Call (4/8/2010 7:27:34 AM)

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen;

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen!

Been extremely busy with life in and out of the lifestyle.

My arthritis has progressed where it has deminished my abilities to stand for hours on end, strength has gone down hill as well but, I am still able to deliver and still mentor/teach/present.

I am still a parent's full time care giver/provider.  Their health is declining which puts more load on me.  Fact - not a whine.  Always on guard for sibling and husband's theft of parent's possessions (in short they just can't wait for the death of last parent so they can pick the estate clean and cheat me out of my half...this according to witnesses...yes Lawyer has been informed of the conspiracy but can't act until the words become deeds).

My slave of several years has had to step away for an undetermined amount of time, as to handle family matters.  Putting up with my duties to a parent and their demanding care and majority of my time; I was certainly understanding about his situation.  If it gets too much for my Marine to handle, he knows he can ask for release without the drama.  Lifestyle will be around when he is able. Sure miss his height and strength -- hauling six pieces of scene equipment in one trip, requires a 'draft horse' LOL.  Meanwhile, I ache in my heart and soul as he was such a good match and I am emotionally invested.  We aren't released from one another --so, this is a 'undetermined length of time in suspension to our relationship.'

I have ramped up my Calligraphy and Civil War history research of my neighborhood.  I'll be volunteering my services in various areas as to do something good for the overwhelmed elements of County Government and re-enactors.  Civil War anniversary is next year.
(1861-1866).

Not much new in the 'toy bags.'  I have enough 'stuff.'

Glad to see familiar faces, per se (Screen/scene names).

Respectfully submitted,
Lady Hugs
