I've always thought men used generic endearments so they don't have to remember a woman's name.

this slave doesn't find it demeaning or degrading...and she is very much a woman.

Baby, Hon, Darlin', Sweetie ~ all good..."Daughter" or "Ma'am" would rub this slave the wrong way, however...[:)]

I HATE Ma'am or Madam. Blach[:'(]

Another one that makes me cringe is "DEAR". It just makes me feel like I'm talkin to the elderly. But, I try not to hold it against them!

Ma'am is proper in a business setting.

Dear pisses me off.  I find it totally condescending.

barelynangel -> RE: "Hey baby" (4/7/2010 4:46:57 AM)

i use that with people when i can't remember their names lol. Darlin, or baby etc. I think many people do.

lusciouslips19 -> RE: "Hey baby" (4/7/2010 4:51:44 AM)

I just tell ask them what their name is again?[sm=dunno.gif]

Ma'am is proper in a business setting but those who call me "Miss" score points big time.

I say, "Hi, this is so and so", Then wait for them to tell so and so their name. Works some of the time

grins, Holly that's the truth lol. I have been in some sticky situations due to i suck at remembering names. I do the darling, ths is so and so. And then burst into conversation about something or say i am thirsty or something lol.

a trick...when the introductions need to made...look over the shoulder of the newcomer and hold up a finger in a "Wait a minute" gesture.  Now that you have given the impression you are needed elsewhere, tell Darlin' and Newbie "I'll leave you two to the introductions" and beat feet.

barelynangel -> RE: "Hey baby" (4/7/2010 5:22:41 AM)

Yes Holly that is a great one lol In all the events i have been from down home country to elegant black tie political or charitable events/fundraisers, you would think i would work on my learning names lol. Another very bad thing i have is not remembering i actually met someone lol. Grins so calling everyone by a pet name tends to help in case i am supposed to know i have met them lol.

ugh, the pressures of knowing people lol.

Jeffff -> RE: "Hey baby" (4/7/2010 5:50:25 AM)

"Hey Baby" by itself is a rather shitty line.

"Hey baby, how about a blow job" Is much better.

It also tends to separate the wheat from the chafe so to speak. I will never for get the first time I approached Lat.

After carefully reading her profile I instinctively determined that she was NOT a lesbian fem dom, but instead a sweet hetero sub playing hard to get. it was all there if you are smart enough to read between the lines.

Anyway, I wrote her, "hey baby, how about a blow job". She responded immediately with, " No you dumbass, can't you READ!"

I took that as a sign to keep pestering her. Some girls just want to be pursued!

The moral is, without the "hey baby" line, I would not be well on my way to a life of bliss with Lat.
