Everyone capable of following a thread is very aware that Thad did not offer the article about ongoing racial issues in chicago as proof that his mixed race familly had issues with racists on both sides, and because of the violence was kept from going to school a few times.


But we all do notice that you are backing away from your claim of him lying.

Actually I googled it...the riots I was thinking of were in 68, which is 41 years ago...not sure if that's what Thadius was referring to though.

I was talking about the protests during the late 70s and early 80s. Here's a story from '81 talking about protests over integration...

You said you were kept out of school and I quote "because of the violence" not because of some people holding their kids out of school because they didn't want to be transferred. You exagerated and we both know it.

And there was violence, plenty of it, and it rolled over into the schools. That is the one thing you have to respond to? Talk about cherry picking. So, you still didn't answer the question. What neighborhood are you from Ken? Lifelong resident of Chicago?

You also claimed that all of the protests and segretation fights were in the 60's, guess you were wrong on that count too? I do love how you keep trying to jump in with both feet. I suggest you are either ignorant of what was going on in those neighborhoods and who was condoning what, or you are trying to ignore it in an attempt to call me a liar.

I walk around and see quite a few vacancies....Up by the ball park , two bedroom starting around $1,700.00 on up.

I spent the summer I turned 18 going up there nearly every night, smoking on the rocks, hanging out with a group of prettyboy street kids who had a squat set up on a hotel roof.

I think most people have 'almost' gotten arrested there but I don't think anyone actually has LOL...cops in that precinct were pretty cool.

OMG and we all used to go to clarkes and order their "one egg" LMFAO until they made it so you had to have a minimum order per person.

There was a gay bar at 63rd and Harlem.  then there was one on ?Western.
I used to go to Horizons on the North side- and shop at the Elephant.
