I would like to make myself feel better by hearing that not everyone had a sex fest at spring break during their college-era days. Unfortunately, having had to support myself without mommy or daddy's help, I spent my spring breaks working. However, you don't need to protect my feelings, either. Perhaps I can live vicariously through YOUR crazy times. P.S. I'm 37 and I am a bitter Spring Break misser-out.

I am another who did not "do spring break" and I've had 20 years longer than you've had to regret it!

Ya didn't miss a thing. I was working f/t and going to school p/t while many mainstreamer's around me went on spring break to those sluttty little tropical paradises. Really, the last thing I want to do on a vacation is go to a tropical meat market. The idea never appealed to me. What do you get after you plane ticket and tons of money blown? Shallow, muscled up chumps looking for one night stands, loud bass, stupid girls.

it looks great maybe for 9.99 on Girls Gone Wild but i surely wouldn't pay for the "live" experience.

vacation to me is intimate. it's an adventure....it's not swapping stds and spit with the masses.

never did a spring break fling...and no regrets.

Never did the Spring Break thing, as I didn't have a rich mommy or daddy footing the bills for college or anything else I needed/wanted in those years. They gave me a roof over my head and food to eat, but it was up to me to pay for school, books, gas, etc. There certainly wasn't money for trips with friends until I was much older, (and I never was much a party girl anyway.)

Did not do the spring break trips.  I spend spring break with my daughter year and 7 years ago, she and I went to Arizona to see the newborn nephew.

ONCE some friends and I went away for a few days on spring break to the beach. The very first night we were there, there were many many drunk college students out on the street who began arguing and throwing glass bottles at each other. Fights broke out and finally the police had to come break it up (and I had to chase some drunken woman off the hood of my parked car). That was enough for me to realize spring break was not my thing.

My buddy and I drove to FL during SB but not FOR SB.

We kept running into all the trash and trouble.

We stayed with his brother - when the GF never came home we wondered why... till we heard the house getting majorly trashed as he was drunk. We were scared- and eventually were able to flee... on bone dry empty gas tank- tired from a 22 hour drive- and att the gas station- some other drunk wanted to pick a fight.

Of course we were low on money- we went grapefruit pking and intended to bring back a load to Chicago.    Well-- they rotted.

It rained like crazy and due the rain the tire burst.

Somehow tho - it was fun- we went camping and used hotel pools..... ooopps.

Pretty much I worked during Spring Breaks.  Although several years ago I did go to Maryland on a Spring Break.  I visited a friend.  But no, there was no crazy drunken parties or anything.  I figure that there is a reason those videos are called, "Girls Gone Wild" and not "Women gone wild."  When girls go wild, they show their tits. When women go wild, they kill men and drown their kids in a tub, ya know.

Never "did" Spring Break.  I'm not even sure that was something people did back when I was in college.  Which was before dial telephones.

Went to Florida a couple of times during spring break. Hard to be wild and crazy when your grandmother lives there and expects you home from the beach for dinner. But we got tan!

Not much of a party girl either, I love the annual frat-boy exodus and I don't understand why anyone would want to follow them unless it was some sort of Nat'l Geo research on the mating patterns of drunken co-eds...

No, no wild trips to exotic locations for me. I was giving birth a few days after my 17th birthday and again just a few months before my 18th. That pretty much set me on an adult life path when most were just getting started on their party path.

Definitely no regrets! I hated drunken stupidity then as much as I do now.

I lived 40 minutes from Daytona and traveled often to the beach as a weekend thing to do. Spring break was a lot of fun but it was just another weekend at the beach..except with a crap load of people!

Definitely worth the trips though.

I went several times it was horrible. We rolled eighteen joints, one for each hour of the drive. We were so responsible. No drunk driving for us.

Arrived at Daytona where we were greeted by about twenty of my fellow classmates. We drank a pile of beer, slept at the pool, on the beach and with about anything that could move.

One of my buddies lost his virginity to the maid. You can't make shit like that up.

It was a gas. No responsibilities, a week to kill and just enough money scraped together to make it all a reality. Reality? I'm not so sure. But those were some damn good times.

It's funny how the ages of 18-22 seem to be the time of memories. People, for the most part, speak fondly of those days, doesn't matter if you were drinking from a keg or stationed in another part of the world.

I was at N.U. (Northwestern) earlier this week for business...Heard a couple of kids talking about their break this year. I hope they had a great time. It was nice to be back on a campus.
