I am not interested in the METHOD of chipped. Or even if it is supposedly "required". I am interested to know if you will accept being chipped. This should be one of my more interesting polls. I knew what you meant, Pennsylvania. I just remember people having the same discussion in the early 80's about ATMs. To got access to your money, a chip under the skin would be involved.

For me, I suspect the option would be a relief. My last name is spelt funny, and my first and middle names can be spelt in a variety of ways. Hospitals tend to lose my medical records. This way, they would be carried with me. I'd take the implied human rights infringement in exchange for being treated by doctors with instant access to my full records in the case of an emergency.

They are already finding out that chips in animals have a tendency to cause cancer. The only animals that don't show cancer are the ones who die from other causes before they get cancer. You would have to be insane to allow them to implant one. Especially since they have technology now that can read your finger print and identify you. I doubt this is included the current bill that was passed, but I have no doubt it was included in their original attempts to pass the public option. This just proves how far liberals are willing to go to control the population. While conservatives stand for individual liberty, privacy, and the constitution, liberals believe in total control, government intrusion and monitoring, and to hell with the Constitution. Ultimately they will rewrite the Constitution or simply nullify it if given the chance. I realized recently that one of the reasons liberals love big government and taxes (backdoor taxes now since Americans can't figure out what they are), is so that 20% of the population can control the other 80%. No I would not get chipped. I want to retain some level of assumed privacy and that concept leaves me too uncomfortable with being microchipped and the potential for abuse is too high for my sense of comfort.
