Bad link, Deeg... well, it took me to a page full of poontang, so "bad" is a bit subjective here ....

I don't want NASA to give me a jet-pack anymore; I want them to develop a hand-held real-time airbrush tool. No more cankles!

Hold on a minute here Panda. You are post #2, how the fuck is this then ? Post two and you are bitching about what ?

Anyway, I am pleased to hear Poland is doing well. That is where my ancestors came from. Does this mean that there a glimmer of hope that I will survive these trying times ? Sometimes it is better to wait than to speculate.

In light of Poles being invaded by the Germans a few times- I am glad- they got a leg up on the IMF.  It was either a blunder or brilliant.

Good for Poland.

No other counbtry in Europe navigated the recession better than Poland. They're in a very strong position going forward.

Not that I'm a supporter of monetary systems or political governments... but being that this is our current reality, it seems ironic that a country which navigated the recession so well didn't see enough value in a quality Presidential Plane with a topnotch crew. (I can't help but wonder if they start airline pilots for as little as $20K per year over there, as we do here in the US.)

Jesus christ. I knew it. As soon as i opened this thread, I knew it. It can't just be that Poland has a strong economy and their president died in a plane crash; the only thing that could possibly make sense is that Poland has a strong economy so their president died in a plane crash.

What a total waste of time this board has become. What used to be a pretty damned decent political discussion board is now just the idiotic conspiracy theory and personal attack forum. Why do I even fucking bother?

The problem with realizing there are conspiracies out there, is that one begins to suspect them elsewhere... even when the odds of conspiracy are small.

You know that Hunky sees the world this way. You knew before you even opened this thread, that he would likely suggest a conspiracy. You even admitted it yourself. Only you can answer why you bothered.

As far as your personal attack forum comment is concerned, it seems fairly obvious that most people don't come here to bridge gaps, or reach out and exchange ideas that might make a difference. Unfortunately, rigid ideology, identity-defending, point-scoring, ego-stroking, and entertainment value seem to be the primary agendas for participation.

Dysfunctional environment - dysfunctional society - dysfunctional political board.

No big surprise there.

So let me understand this correctly.........The entire polish government gets on board ONE jet to go to a funeral. At the destination, the airport is fogged in. The pilot requests to use an alternate field-and is told to land anyhow-by the president.

They overshoot the runway by a good mile-killing everyone on board.

It's the Polock joke of the century!!!!!

I clicked fully expecting Lucy Lawless and she is no where on that list. Sorry, but that is beyond just not being nice. That is sadistic. Now I am going to have to hunt down my Spartacus link and look at her boobs again.
