I'd strongly suggest asking him to talk you through how he is doing the branding. Knowing that he is paying attention to the details and prepared will probably make you feel better.

I have to applaud you. That was an intense and dedicated website. The slide show keep me glued. That will be surly a reminder for me now as well every time I see your name here. My one suggestion was the deep read color made it hard to read the text.

As a Master myself, I have to say that if your Master can not give you the information you want then he does not know what he is doing and should either have somebody else do the branding who can answer all your questions or wait until he has the answers himself. Alternatively you could have a tattoo instead of branded or have a tattoo identical to the brand put there first and then have the brand go over the tattoo. Those who have said be sure you want it for the rest of your life are right because you will not be changing it easily..

YES, this girl LOVES and TRUST her Master. the thread she started in "ask a Master" was due to her emotional state and not from anything her Master did or didnt do.
the reason she posted this thread is because, although she has no idea when her Master is planning on branding her, she has no doubt that she will be branded.
her questions are not based on distrust of her Master, but her own ignorance of the technique and what she should expect.

I'm not trying to pick holes or anything along those lines but i would have to agree that a time of emotional stress seems not the best time for a permenant mark? also though a year is a good length of time to be together is it really long enough to be marked forever? I say this because about a year into my relationship with my Ex Dom I wanted to be marked, It was something i felt i needed, we discussed and and decided that we would get a tattoo and then possibly a brand in 5-10 years time. We both agreed that we wanted it to be subtle so that although we would know what it meant it would not be glaringly obvious. we decided on a triskillian, I found the design and he liked it so he decided to have a matching one, He wears it on the sholderblade and mine is my lower back, I love my tattoo, think it looks gorgeous and would not change it for the world however i am very glad that I went for a subtle option, bearing in mind the relationship ended a year later.
We are still great friends and live together as we have a mortgage, but i have no desire to wear my best friends mark.
Please, think about it, i am not knocking you or your Owner, it just seems a terribly short time to be together for a permenant mark like that.
