What is more interesting and important to you, the play or the person?

Are there activities that you could not live without, regardless of the person involved.

For the sake of this question, poly doesn't count. You have your own little group..:)

Musicmystery -> RE: Preferences (4/12/2010 5:28:55 PM)

Person.

Activities? Sex is up there....

lizi -> RE: Preferences (4/12/2010 5:34:45 PM)

The person is most important to me, the play is fluid and revolves around what we are like together. There isn't any particular activity that I have to have.

Aileen1968 -> RE: Preferences (4/12/2010 5:35:41 PM)

Yes, Jeffffff. This will sicken you.
Absolutely the person. I can't ever get enough of him.

Musicmystery -> RE: Preferences (4/12/2010 5:36:32 PM)

The person definitely! I don't enjoy playing with someone when there is no chemistry. When there is chemistry and trust and you both want to please eachother it's pretty amazing.

What can i not live without...umm...sex and the closeness of another body. When you aren't in a relationship sometimes you just need to take the edge off

Yeah I probably should have posted this elsewhere.

I  just keep seeing alot of threads that seem to .... dial down into  the activity and protocol.

I was just wondering if that was a function of this sort of forum, or a function of actual thinking

Also the fact that I am listening to Al Green right now could have influenced it..:)

littlewonder -> RE: Preferences (4/12/2010 6:17:08 PM)

It's all about the person for me.

If all the physical play was to disappear tomorrow I would still be just as happy with Him.

Smutmonger -> RE: Preferences (4/12/2010 6:22:41 PM)

The person. I don't want to hook up with a pain in the ass incompetent.

Any idiot can play.

Person.

Insofar as activities, my passion and fascination is in painting the canvas of our marriage. Secondarily, the whole idea of seeing how far I can enslave her is just terribly fascinating. For me, sex is just a fun thing we do from time to time, but not central to any part of my existence.

lauren0221 -> RE: Preferences (4/12/2010 6:26:06 PM)

Definitely the person. There are no activities that I need to have. And the things that I enjoy are not enjoyable without the connection and intimacy.

nancygirl34652 -> RE: Preferences (4/12/2010 6:33:24 PM)

definitely the person....no play would not bother me at all....the only "thing" i could not live without is to be able to express my submissiveness within a relationship...there are so many other ways than sexual and, therefore, the play is way down on the list.

blueeyedbbwsub -> RE: Preferences (4/12/2010 6:36:46 PM)

Once again, the person. I love sex but I know I can go without if everything else is there. Hell, I've proven the without for over 10 yrs. Ain't nowhere near that this time, but until someone comes along that wants to be with ME, then I'll wait as long as I need to. Sex for sex I did enough when I was much younger.

I think it was Martin Mull that said many years ago, and this isn't a direct quote, but it always stuck with me: Everyone is allowed so much sex, drugs, alcohol in their lifetime, once it's used up, then it's gone". The drugs I've done, not to excess and not all legal, the alcohol I've learned to control and won't go back there, not that there was a "there" to begin with. The sex I'm pretty sure isn't nearing the end, but it sure felt like that for a long time. I don't have a time stamp on the bottom of my foot, so I still have plenty of time left.

DesFIP -> RE: Preferences (4/12/2010 7:42:53 PM)

Part and parcel. No matter how great the person is, if there's no sex we're not getting into a relationship. It will be friendship only.

But I also want to have a lot of commonalities. I don't want to never get to see the tv show I like. Or never go to my favorite lunch joint. Or never get to play miniature golf again. I need it all. Because shared enjoyment of activities is one way you are compatible. Shared morals and ethics are others. For some, they need to share religion as well.

Marini -> RE: Preferences (4/12/2010 8:05:07 PM)

Great topic jefffffffff!

The person, the person, the person, the person, the person, the person, the person, the person, the person, the person.

It is all about/and always about "the person" for me.

I am so damn entertaining by myself, activities would never be an issue.
[;)]
Person, person, person, a trillion zillion times.......................the person.

That's why many of the topics on here, hold little meaning for me, it is always about "the person" first,  activities as far as importance, are not even on the same page.

**The caveat is, with the "right" person----having to "give up" my favorite activities, would probably NOT be an issue!**
That's why the right "person" is so important {for ME}.

[:D]
If the "person" is wrong for me, there is no play or activity in the world that could make up for it.

It's totally about "the person".

no doubt

Peace
