While I was bored last night, I decided to perv the profiles of submissive men in my area. I noticed something interesting. At least half of the die hard submissive men also have profiles as Dominants. Granted, they have a different name, but the pictures are the same. Isn’t it hard enough to find someone compatible? Shouldn’t we be honest about our personal tastes? If you are a switch, list as one, it isn’t so bad…..trust me. Or, are these desperate men simply trying to throw out a big net hoping to catch anyone who is anatomically correct and doesn’t bother to peruse the various profiles?Personally, I was irritated for about a minute and don’t think the lot of them are worth that much time. What do you think?

My theory on this, I've noticed it too, is that they are actually submissive men, not switches, who haven't been able to find dominant women. They then put out dominant profiles and hope to get a submissive woman that they can then order to dominate them...

Yep, this has happened to me on more than a few occasions in the last 2 1/2 years on this site. I actually don't even think these men are submissive. This is about sex for most of them - which is perfectly fine - and they don't understand the difference between D/s as a lifestyle and bdsm as kink. The topic has been discussed ad nauseum on these forums in the past, so I won't. But there's my 2 cents.... <edited to say, sorry I'm not a Master...back to your regularly scheduled program>

There's also the undeniable fact that admitting they're switches lessens their chance of finding a submissive female. Because the majority of us are monogamous, so we aren't going to get into a situation where the guy will have other parties. But I'm not sure if they are truly submissives. I think they're bottoms and can't find a service top. And lets be real, writing to some chicky and saying you want to be in charge, but by the way she isn't getting any fun out of it, he's going to get all of that as well as all of the power, isn't likely to garner him a fan club. Because in exchange for me doing all I do, damn it I want to be the one who gets tied up. If he was getting all of that and having everything catered to his tastes, then what do I get that makes it worth it? What about my needs?

I think there are just a lot of guys here that think because we are "kinky" the women will have sex with them. They don't realize we can see them a mile away. I guess when the local bar and craigslist fails they come here?

I agree, and I believe that many men just want to have fun "activities" and kink, and many don't give a crap what they "call themselves". I want to be there when some of these people who see this all as just sex and think that they can handle or try anything get way more than what they bargained for and are mentally devoured.

What do you think? I think it's pathetic myself. Sounds like a desperate attempt to grasp at whatever comes their way. These people are certainly not being true to anyone including themselves. Can't be a die-hard submissive and have a dominant profile as well and expect that they are being sincere in any case. Pitiful isn't it?
