He must master....me...my quirks, personality, emotions, mentality, etc...

He's able to do that and that's why I call him my Master.

You'd have better luck mastering the beagle.  [8D]

FR

Wait, wait, back up a minute here. Humour the tired and sleepy person.

We were supposed to start off *crying with regret* at making girls cry? And then 'master' this regret?

Is that first bit (which I seem to have missed out totally) important? I was supposed to feel guilty?!

Just like you to skip a step you lazy bitch. Go back and do it again.....properly this time!

What must a Dominant, master? Doms must master Their tears of regret of causing tears.

Unless they're sadists who get off on causing tears.

Master understanding the difference between reality vs fantasy, yourself and then your sub/slave.  Or, just be like most of the people here who call themselves master-whatever and use a capital M.  Maybe someone will believe you long enough to let you cause tears.

1) Ooooh, bossy, Zephy-you been eating too many Revels? :P

2) How am I supposed to go back and regret to the point of crying something that is so totally not worth regretting? What kind of a wet blanket do you take me for?

Or just emotionally intelligent human beings who realise that tears are not always caused by pain or distress.

Edited to add: A Master also ought to master basic grammar. The comma is a punctuation mark used to separate clauses in a sentence or items in a list. The question 'What must a Master master?' is a single-clause question, containing no lists. The comma the OP has repeatedly insisted on randomly inserting has no place in said single-clause list-free question.

This bugs me, innit. :P

Dunno, you're the dominant, figure it out!

Nu-uh. You want a beating, you ask for it nicely.

I promise not to regret it when you start to cry.

UniqueRaven -> RE: What must a Master, master? (4/13/2010 6:09:44 PM)

On the original topic:

There are plenty of Doms who enjoy seeing their subs cry, or at the least, don't mind it.

There are also plenty of Doms who have no interest in making their subs cry, and plenty of subs who have no need to cry in that way.

Neither is more "real" - it's just about compatibility, really.

i am on board with jbcurious' response: "Himself." If a Dom Masters himself, then he'll have the self awareness of whether he'd like to bring his slave to tears - or not.

ixnay on the ulkingsay-you have to ask me because I'm *meeeeeaaaan* like that. :P

Serious response time (because UniqueRaven made me feel bad):

Stuff a Dominant Should Master (IVC'sNSHO)

Let's break 'themselves' (tidy but not terribly descriptive) into smaller chunks.
Their own:
-temper
-self control
-attention to detail
-blood sugar levels
-ability to hit people in the right places/tie them up without cutting off their circulation/whatever particular technical skills they require to achieve whatever it is that they want to achieve
-ability to work out what it is that they want to achieve
-communication skills

Now replace 'their own' with 'their sub's', read through the above sublist, and you will have the other half of my completed list.

Can I tell him this? Because for some unknown reason (being that I do all the cooking and meal planning) it's fallen on me to ensure his levels don't elevate as a result of food eaten.

Maybe if I do, he'll cook. Or take me out to dinner? (Hint, hint)

Jeffff -> RE: What must a Master, master? (4/13/2010 7:05:52 PM)

Have Him take you to a nice Korean place. You can get some tasty beagle there!

GoddessImaginos -> RE: What must a Master, master? (4/13/2010 7:25:25 PM)

Hurry. Someone photoshop a Snoopy head onto Jeff's icon, right under the Anteater's outstretched hand, so we can then say: he's got this beagle under control..

Jeffff -> RE: What must a Master, master? (4/13/2010 7:39:49 PM)

Not to derail........ HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....woooooooo seriously

I want my old avatar back and now it is too big to install?

While you're at it, please ask the Field and Stream guy where the wind and caribou are.

See?... THIS is why you are such a terrible slave.

NO ONE knows..... you need to pay better attention

The Anteater speaks the truth.

He has mastered the place where things are.

brainiacsub -> RE: What must a Master, master? (4/13/2010 8:11:35 PM)

Well now...isn't that special.

I'm not bringing the boobs back though.
