If you grew up anywhere near the tri state area...
The channel seven ABC 4:30 movie.

Every kid had their ass parked on the living room floor watching while mom made dinner.

Coca Cola made with sugar.

Mexican stores often carry Coke with sugar in glass bottles.

There is a "retro" coke out now, with the original ingredients..minus the actual cocaine <s>

I've seen some limited edition runs of Pepsi Throwback made with sugar but I can't find anything on the retro Coke. Reportedly Coke does brew a limited run of Coca-Cola during passover that is kosher and made with sugar but it is not widely advertised.

Many times out in the Southwest, companies use this area for the launching of a new product. I know that Pepsi Clear was launched out here and alot of people hadn't even heard of it when I went south. I have a vending machine in my apt. complex that sells coke and I havent liked coke since they changed the taste of it, this vending machine is stocked with the retro coke. I am now back to drinking coke...at least for a while. They royally screwed up when they changed the taste of it..then tried to "fix" it by giving us Coke Classic. Wasn't ever the same though.

I learned how to drive in a '64 Buick Wildcat, which had it's muffler and tailpipe in three pieces in the trunk for the entire time I owned that car. My mom bought it for Me from some little old lady who was *gasp* the original owner. I drove that thing to My prom in '84.
Having a giggle, thanx for the memory! [:D]

I learned to drive when I was 14...a Pontiac Tempest(I think..or perhaps a Catalina) anyway my drunk father was...well drunk and we were in the wrong borough.Staten Island....he wanted to get home to Queens which meant the Varenzanno Bridge and the Belt Prkwy to Queens. So the old man is drunk my younger brother and baby sister are in the back seat....and it's pouring out....and little 14 y/o mikie is driving across a big bridge...lol.
I laugh about it now but I was scared, the brother and sister were crying in the back seat...and my drunk father was tellinhg me to pass this car and that on the rain slick roads. At one point when I hesitated in speeding up to pass another driver....he placed his foot on top of mine.We passed the other driver....and I did learn, real fast how to drive...just another warm fuzzy memory of a bastard father.
Not one of those things I would bring back.....the father I mean [:)]

Good call. I did not think about that. I knew you could get it in Mexico but I had not considered local Hispanic stores and were I live they are all over the place. I'll check it out.

What would you bring back that isn't available now from when you were younger?

For starters my pick right now because I am hungry is....Jeno's Pizza snack trays ( have to be over 45 or 50 I think for this one)...they were little pizzas on an aluminum tray(it was the days before microwaves)...three flavors in one tray...cheese, pepperoni and pepperoni and sausage...about six of each in each tray...

Big cell phones.

Bricks.

Things that are as big as a small (then) TV.

And 4 cylinder cars that burned oil.

With shitty seats.

And Beta Cassettes.  (sp?)
