* Yes I know it's a really long run onish sentance, so don't bitch if you don't like it,  lets try and keep this to the subject of make up and my question, k thanks:)*

Would you mind please watching the video for lady Gaga's and Beyoncé  telephone song, and then looking at my face pictures and telling me if you think the make up styles in the scenes where Lady Gaga answers the phone in the prison, and the scenes in the pussy wagon, and then Beyoncés make up and hair at the dinner when she poisoned the guy in the booth with her, and then the make up of Gaga, when she's making the poison in the kitchen, would look good on my face type?

I just love Beyoncés  hair and makeup, and would adore if someone would do that for me, but Daddy says it wouldn't look good on me because my face is to round and full and the look would really look best on someone who's got a leaner longer face.

I agree w/your daddy.
Round faces need a style that will make their face leaner, try long layers all around.
I have a pumpkin face & love the long layer cut & get compliments all of the time when just blow drying it to style. Very easy to manage.

Do you think the hairstyle at least would look good?

You can see my hair's pretty long now, and I wear it down and just brush it, sometimes I put it up in a half pony, or with little barrets pulling it away at the sides.

Do you have any examples other than your pic of what kind of make up would be sassy and good looking?

I've always been told that people with round faces are supposed to use dark dramatic eye and lip colours-draws the attention from the sides of the face, or something...

The Beyonce ones shouldn't be a problem-basically cat-eyes in the wagon and the same liner with uberbright shadow in the diner (although I'm not sure about the bright yellow-I suspect it might yellow your skin out a little if you're pale. Maybe a different intense colour?). *Everyone* looks glamorous with cat-eyes, regardless of facial shape.

The Gaga one with the phone is pretty heavy-she has very arched brows, which you don't, so even if you do the massive wings it's not going to look as angular on you as it does on her, but I don't see why something similar (cut crease, massive eyeliner) shouldn't look good. I'm not entirely sure about the lip colour, but it'll take all of a minute to put on and half that to take off if it looks too much.

These looks are basically a punch of colour on the eyes and brows and a punch of colour on the mouth-I can see no reason why having a round, full face should stop them from working.

I wouldn't touch the bright blue poison one, though-too close to looking like a clown, IMO, but that's nothing to do with your facial shape, I just don't like the makeup.

Yeah the whole thick slathered on blue all over the eye did look awful, when I watched it another time.

TFB,

You can go to one of the major department stores such as Macy's and they will do your face ie. make up for free. They'll match the appropriate colors for you. That doesn't mean you have to buy something there unless you want to of course. With the information given, you can then go else where and chose the appropriate make-up for yourself.

When I was younger my mom and I used to do that now and then, it was always fun, and there's a local group in sacto that the girls only group is gonna go to the mall and get the very thing you're suggesting done, so maybe it'd be fun to go again:) Who knows maybe some of the girls would like to play beautician and make me over with the wild fun sassy colors I been curious about to try:)

Whereabouts are you sweetie?  I have been doing this stuff for years and I can help you pick the best colors and styles.  I do have to see your actual skin though and not just a photo version of it with all the lighting associated.

Sorry, babes!  I don't get out that way.  Cmail me with a best description of your skin tone (the inside of your arm/wrist) and we can go from there.  I will say Lady Gaga and Beyonce make up jobs are not exactly everyday kind of things.  That is a special effort for a special task (ie: music video in this case).  It certainly isn't the way to look to be taken seriously on a daily basis.  We want you to look wonderful not whoreific!  LOL

but but what if I want to look whorific once in a while?* laughing in real life*

No, her looks certainly are not every day, that's for sure, and I wouldn't want them for every day way to much effort and time. I am way more a wash and go girl:)

LOL!!!!  I totally understand the wanting the "part time hooker" look.  We can get something together for you.  I will say one word when it comes to looking whoreific...shiny!!!  Shiny make up and lots of it is guaranteed upping of the slutty factor.

Here's what I can suggest...

You have a round face. You need to first get yourself a make up chart which indicates the seven areas of the face used by make up artists. You need two different shades of something like Max Factor Pan Stik (liquid foundation won't work) one pale (such as 001 or 002) and the other darker (such as a beige, or 004). Apply the paler foundation to your chin, the centre of your face, nose, under your eyes, and your forehead. You use the darker foundation on your cheeks, from where you would normally apply blusher right down to underneath your chin.

Dust lightly with translucent powder. Place emphasis on your eyes and lips by using darker colours. The different shades of foundation will add contours to your facial shape and take some emphasis away from the roundness.

As for the hair, I don't think the hairstyle of Beyonce's in that video would work for your face, as it will emphasize the roundness of your face.

I think if you were looking for a singer to emulate I would suggest Beata Bednarz who is a Polish singer. I could only find a couple of pictures of her as I'm using a UK keyboard but if you like I can try a Polish site with a Polish keyboard (with the accent on the 'e') to see if I can get some of her photos and cmail them to you.

I can remember seeing her photo somewhere a while back where she looked quite gothy and different, and you might like to see some of her earlier pics.

I'll have to look her up, the one picture provided she does look very pretty:)

One issue I have with my skin also, is that though I am pale, if I am hot, or blushing I turn bright red and stay so for a while. But I guess a good foundation would help that?

TFTB: Why don't you contact allyC here? She's a make up artist. And stunningly beautiful... and she's no skinny minnie either. She's a real woman!

and then I had to go and ruin it...

Sorry, I am gonna bitch...

Why would you do something you KNOW bugs people and then tell us not to say anything.

You said yourself: the subject of make up

So, in the SUBJECT LINE put: Make up opinion.

Go to the mall, get a make over. Then go buy something from a company that doesn't test on animals.
