Democrats have been far from perfect but these voters did not let perfect be the enemy of the good.
There is a lot of time for Harry Reid and other Democrats to do much better than the doom and gloom predictions of Sarah Palin and Michele Bachman.

A Jewish attorney running as a Democrat wins in a heavily-gerrymandered district in the suburbs of Boca Raton and Palm Beach, Florida, a district which has voted 2:1 for Democrats in recent presidential elections, in a low-turnout special election to replace a retiring Democrat, a district in which almost a majority of the citizens are retirees on Medicare and the Republican challenger has been ranting about government health-care programs, and this is somehow newsworthy?
