the first time i attempted to meet someone from online, we chatted for about four months before we met in person (he lived on the other side of the country). we shared our wants and dreams and desires, our funny stories, our life histories. i KNEW his SOUL. then we met in person. despite everything we had shared, it only took an instant to realize he wasn't for me.

the more experiences i had with "online romance," the less time i was willing to invest in a person before meeting. if i was interested, i wanted to meet. if he or she wasn't able to, i cut my losses and moved on. there was no point in becoming emotionally attached to a fantasy.

it's rough and it sucks, but it doesn't sound like he deceived you. it sounds like real life took over, which is what happens sometimes when people prolong online romances. he told you the truth...he found someone local. as other people have stated, you are young and cute. let your heart heal, regroup, and then think consciously about the realism in your searches.

Pissdoll....I am so happy to see that you are alive, posting and pissing!!!

I'm obviously new to the boards. So to those of you that have been somewhat understanding, and realized I just needed to get this off my chest and have a shoulder for a morning..thank you so much.

That is okay. Welcome to the boards.

To those of you that felt the need to respond with somewhat hateful messages, I'm incredibly sorry you did not have some better way to spend your time.

I have reread the previous responses and fail to see somewhat hateful messages. There has been compassion, some well intended counseling and a bit of humor to bolster your spirit and give you a laugh.

Maybe I took some things the wrong way, perhaps the humor didn't come off the way it might have been intended . If that's the case, my mistake. Regardless, thank you to those that were understanding.

I did not need put downs to assist me in seeing that.

But, that's the CM way. The OP is always at fault for his/her predicament. At least your post roused Pissdoll back from oblivion.
