Brain -> Sarah Palin to address Hamilton audience (4/15/2010 9:27:08 AM)

It was clever to cancel the speaking engagement and go ahead with it tonight anyway. Also changing the subject from health-care to family values was another good idea to avoid controversy. I'm confident she's a good mother despite the bad things her "son-in-law" said about her. I'm glad she's not saying anything about politics because she's not an authority on the subject.

Sarah Palin to address Hamilton audience
Former U.S. vice-presidential hopeful Sarah Palin is scheduled to speak tonight at a sold-out black-tie dinner in Hamilton about the importance of family and community.

Tickets were priced at $200 and all 850 seats were sold for what is being billed as "An Intimate Evening with Sarah Palin." Palin is expected to speak for at least 20 minutes followed by a question-and-answer session with Connie Smith, a veteran Hamilton TV personality

Too bad that can't think of any title for her other than "Former U.S. vice-presidential hopeful."

I guess "Alaskan governor who quit half-way through her term" or "resident dimwit" wouldn't draw as much of an audience.

No cameras and microphones and no still photography were allowed during her speech. The controversy with Palin was that she is against universal healthcare in Canada, and the United States of course, but that money from this speaking engagement will be going to support health care in Canada.

Palin Calls for More Oil Mining, Backs Hamilton Hockey Team (Update1)

The U.S. health-care plan diminishes competition, Palin said. “The government will never run any program as well as the private sector will,” she said. A smaller government and lower taxes will boost the economy and give most people “the means to purchase their health care,” she said.
