Hi,
I just spent sometime reworking my profile to better express who I am and what I want and I am just curious if I could get some feedback as to things that I should add or maybe even remove.  Thanks!

First, I didn't care for the formatting at all.  Having to scroll constantly is annoying.  I read your journal and found out you enjoy skiing, but you never mention any other hobbies or activities you enjoy.  Otherwise you come off as a nice guy looking for a submissive.  Only real major part of you profile that I dislike (and this is just a personal thing for me) is that you are EXPERT in so many things.  Sorry, I feel that is bragging and it would be a big turn off for me if I were looking.  I get the same yuck feeling when some guy tells me he's handsome.

Have to agree with peppermint, the formatting is awful and the expert at, made me laugh. How does one become an expert at newspapers????

I'd also be put off by who you're looking for. You say you aren't poly, yet your seeking couples, the 2 dont match up.

Thank you for the help so far.  I can see where I do need to make some changes.  The formatting side is a struggle as it looks great in the little box you type everything in.  Anyone have any ideas there?

The box where you type everything in doesn't need for you to hit enter until you need a new paragraph.  The text will wrap to the next line naturally in a sentence or paragraph as it is designed to do so.  As much as you want to stand out, the size of the lettering you are using forces the reader to scroll down more than if you were to use the normal sized text which will be off-putting for many.

I found it to be a little wordy and all saying the same thing over and over but not enough.  The poly part...why not just say "I'm not into poly" and leave it at that?  If you're not, though, you may want to remove that you're actively seeking sub-sub couples and Male-Dom couples.

The other folks are right...lose the "expert" label.  It looks way too self-important for someone who stresses he doesn't take life too seriously.  As for hobbies...are you active in everything you have listed or are these things you've tried or would like to?  Lots of people seem to fall into the trap of assuming they need to include everything and anything they do or have done.

Try to think of a profile as a marketing tool and you're the product being marketed.  Would you write to you if you read your profile?  Would you be sold on the product?

I like the photos...cute puppy.

Good luck and welcome to the boards.

I've just now read your profile and I don't see the problems the others have mentioned. I'm guessing you've done further editing since they were posted. So, here's my opinion on what I see.

It's an interesting read, and it seems quite a lot of your personality shows through in what you've written. Definitely a good thing. There are two small changes I would make, just to tweak it a bit. I'd cut down a bit on the spacing between points, as this would make it a bit easier to read through comfortably. And, I'd cut back on the number of interests you've selected. I'm not implying that you might not indeed like or love all of those things. Only saying that, for me, the list is exhaustive and I would tend to lose interest in reading your interests. You might consider prioritizing and only listing those interests which are most important to you, or those it's most important that your potential partner shares with you.

Just one woman's opinion, offered because you've asked.

Be well

I dont think its that bad. I would work on the space thing. Also the part with HAPPY in caps lose that, it's dorky! As for expert nothing wrong with confidence. My major issue with the profile was do you really need all the pics with you and your puppy? That scares me other then that.. WELCOME !!!

adds: was handsomedevil07 not available.. your way looks weird

Are you copying and pasting your profile text from Word or some other program, rather than typing it in directly? I've found that can cause problems with paragraph spacing, it looks like one blank line in the typing box, but seems to add loads of extra blank lines when viewed on your profile page. Sometimes choosing the Edit Profile option and taking the line out in the typing box, so that it looks like you aren't leaving a blank line between paragraphs at all there, will make it look ok when viewed on your profile page, with a single line between paragraphs. Sometimes you just seem to have to type all or parts of it manually into CollarMe to get it to look right.

I would love to find that special someone, however I am not convinced it is
going to happen from a site like this.
So my ‘goal’ here is to make
friends and see if more doesn’t grow.

The line I've bolded should be changed to something that doesn't smack so much of "dirty lil secret". Everyone has joined this site for different reasons, from making friends to looking for someone. Just my opinion. And welcome to the boards.
