I just picked up some more silver today.  I have now exceeded my goal for this summer in terms of the amount- I stack.

Who knows- maybe I can bump that number up even higher.  :-)

Hunk, may I point out a little flaw in your system?

1) IF all currency becomes valueless, and the world goes back to a barter system, silver and gold will have no intrinsic value. You cant eat silver and gold, you cant drink it, and you cant grow anything with it.

2) In a barter system, the only thing that has value is tools, food, ammo, skins, and if someone is a weaver, cloth.

3) If someone wants your gold and silver and has a gun, they can take your gold and silver.

You know, I at times wander into the conspiracy theory ideas, in my search for the truth in things, but lately, I just cannot be arsed with it all, I mean, just what is the point, powers that move in the way they do are far higher and more powerful than us mere mortals, so what's the point speculating, where does it get you and who really cares beyond the challenges in life the vast majority tackle on a day to day basis. I suppose here I could apply my accepted maxim, live and let live, that meaning, as long as we are allowed to live the life we live in, why bother annoying others in the life they live.

Because it is easier for those suffering from these delusions to preach to those that aren't rather than get help.

I have help. Help is a good word. I Help People and People Help me.

As to my theories....

God Deconstructed it self. BOOM.
Dust that has a path knows of a concept named God.

God is interchangeable. I can set down a book and utilize the pen. If 'God' exists the proof is right out of your eyes, looking.

Or maybe it is for nothing. There is no purpose. There are random acts of chaos and it is all for naught and we came into existence somehow, by sciences and bodies of Knowledge. It is in the books.

BBCNews World Edition:
Sunday, 23 September, 2001, 12:30 GMT 13:30 UK Hijack 'suspects' alive and well
A man called Waleed Al Shehri says he left the US a year ago
Another of the men named by the FBI as a hijacker in the suicide attacks on Washington and New York has turned up alive and well. The identities of four of the 19 suspects accused of having carried out the attacks are now in doubt. Saudi Arabian pilot Waleed Al Shehri was one of five men that the FBI said had deliberately crashed American Airlines flight 11 into the World Trade Centre on 11 September. His photograph was released, and has since appeared in newspapers and on television around the world. Hijacking suspects Flight 175: Marwan Al-Shehhi, Fayez Ahmed, Mohald Alshehri, Hamza Alghamdi and Ahmed Alghamdi
Flight 11: Waleed M Alshehri, Wail Alshehri, Mohamed Atta, Abdulaziz Alomari and Satam Al Suqami
Flight 77: Khalid Al-Midhar, Majed Moqed, Nawaq Alhamzi, Salem Alhamzi and Hani Hanjour
Flight 93: Ahmed Alhaznawi, Ahmed Alnami, Ziad Jarrahi and Saeed Alghamdi
Now he is protesting his innocence from Casablanca, Morocco. He told journalists there that he had nothing to do with the attacks on New York and Washington, and had been in Morocco when they happened. He has contacted both the Saudi and American authorities, according to Saudi press reports. He acknowledges that he attended flight training school at Daytona Beach in the United States, and is indeed the same Waleed Al Shehri to whom the FBI has been referring. But, he says, he left the United States in September last year, became a pilot with Saudi Arabian airlines and is currently on a further training course in Morocco. Mistaken identity Abdulaziz Al Omari, another of the Flight 11 hijack suspects, has also been quoted in Arab news reports. Abdelaziz Al Omari 'lost his passport in Denver' He says he is an engineer with Saudi Telecoms, and that he lost his passport while studying in Denver. Another man with exactly the same name surfaced on the pages of the English-language Arab News. The second Abdulaziz Al Omari is a pilot for Saudi Arabian Airlines, the report says. Meanwhile, Asharq Al Awsat newspaper, a London-based Arabic daily, says it has interviewed Saeed Alghamdi. Khalid Al-Midhar may also be alive He was listed by the FBI as a hijacker in the United flight that crashed in Pennsylvania. And there are suggestions that another suspect, Khalid Al Midhar, may also be alive. FBI Director Robert Mueller acknowledged on Thursday that the identity of several of the suicide hijackers is in doubt.

yeh those "GUV" conspiracy "THEORISTS" never get it right.

Ok I know I'm getting in on the end of this but I just had to comment. My ex was a complete conspiracy fanatic.  The crazier and more outlandish the conspiracy the more likely he was to believe it.  He really embarrassed the hell out of me in the middle of a restaurant when he was going on and on about how the moon landing was faked. He was getting louder and louder on purpose because he wanted all the people around to hear him and know the "truth" about the moon landing.  I didn't really get it at first, but looking back I realize it was just his twisted way of justifying why his life was so screwed up.  After all, it wasn't his fault, it was the government, the Illuminati, the Hapsburgs, the Rockefellers, the reptilian aliens, the One World Order etc.... etc... etc.... He couldn't be blamed for anything because after all, what's an ordinary guy to do when faced with all that money and power gathered together with the goal of keeping the little man down.  Most of the other people we met who were into this stuff had lives that were in complete shambles for various reasons but mostly of their own doing in one way or another.

I think conspiracy theories do a couple of things for people who are struggling with problems in their lives.  1- it gives them a justification for why their problems are not their fault.  They can feel better about themselves because they know despite doing their best, it was hopeless and they were doomed to fail because of the "system" that keeps them down.  2- It gives them a sense of being special or important.  They alone know the truth.  They are smarter and more special that those who can't see what's really going on.  It gives them a destiny and an agenda.

At least that's my take on it.  As a former tin hat wearer.

so then what do you think about bush declaring that 19 hijackers CONSPIRED against your freedom THEORY?  Only to discover not only were 7 of them alive but ready to file suit against the feds?

what problem was GW having?

TNstepsout, you are right on both counts, the problem is that these conspiracy nuts have access to the internet, and very loud voices. No matter what you say, they alone know the truth.

Funny thing is, that if these theories were true, and they had proved them to be true, the powers that be that wanted them kept quiet would make moves to eliminate them. Which hasnt happened.

Now if Real and hunky were to suddenly disappear, stay vanished for a long time, or never returned, then I MIGHT give them credit that maybe they were right.

Actually, I would probably think that they either got bored with this board and moved elsewhere, OR they finally flipped out completely and were being held in a mental institution.

Just read your original post. If I understand your reasoning then we should take all that we see in front of us as simply fact and never question the veracity? Is the sky blue in your world?

Again, I am referring to all the off the wall, illogical, repeatedly disproven theories that are out there.

And yes the sky is blue in my world.

And there is the rub. one mans illogical is anothers logical. Who gets to be the judge and jury? If you are going to tell me that the gov't has been upfront with the people then I have some land I think you might be interested in.
