This worked for someone once: she meditated on a vision of a bunch of breadcrumbs on a windowsill, every day. And every day, she would visualize birds eating the breadcrumbs on the window sill, while she thought to herself how strong and glorious she was in body, mind and spirit....
How almost effortlessly, and yet so single-mindedly, the tiny birds ate every single crumb on the windowsill each day. Silently, inside herself, she was sure she could feel her body's victory over the disease, with each passing day as she visualized the birds on the sill, eating every last crumb until they were all gone... This woman who dreamed a relaxing, warm dream of small, beautiful birds dining gracefully on breadcrumbs on her window sill, until every day they had eaten even the tiniest last crumb...

This woman was doing a positive visualization technique, of course. It worked. Her disease shrank away to nothing, with each passing day. This was a woman who had been given a dim prognosis, with not long to live. She just didn't believe it. She knew the tiny birds would eat every last crumb, while she faithfully visualized them there on the window sill each day. So, she was right of course. Before long she was miraculously well, healed by the tiny birds' daily efforts, so calming and thorough. She healed herself, with her own faith. With her body, mind and spirit. With her quiet, beautiful strength and purpose.

This happened like, twenty years ago. I'll bet that woman is still around, and has had a fabulous twenty years since then.

Fluffy, close your eyes.... Or leave them open...

Do you see the window sill?

Darling Fluffy,

I wonder if anyone knows how Fluffy welcomed me so generously and sweetly here. She even took the time to send me funny letters and pictures to encourage and befriend me. I am so grateful for people like you in this world and in my life, Fluffy, and I pray earnestly for you. xoxoxoxoxo thank you so much.

Warmest wishes and brightest blessings to fluffy, from Me and Mine, now and always.
::KUDOS:: to the clever rendering of some damnably pretty poetry on this thread. And not just for that reason, but I just want to say that it's reading threads like this, and feeling the very genuine love and fellowship with which we surround each other, reminds Me of why I came back to this raving madhouse called CM. You are all wonderful, and please have a big helping of those blessings I mentioned up there for yourselves, because there's an inexhaustible well of them, plenty for everyone. You all deserve it, each and every one of you.

I lit a light peach colored candle that smells of peony, and prayed that you will end up in remission.

I'm leaving the candle in front of my computer, and will think about you every time I see it.
