This may be a story from Britain, but, it could be anywhere.

Ever wondered about what all those records hold on you, and how it can easily be misused, read this ;

Freedom in our modern world is an illusion

Freedom is an illusion but not just in this since we are often slaves to daily routines.

"The journalist and privacy campaigner Henry Porter told Bond that privacy is like eyesight, or touch: “It’s that important.” Phil Booth, national co-ordinator of the campaign No2ID, broadly agrees. “Privacy is not something that people feel, except in its absence. Remove it and you destroy something at the heart of being human.” "

Couldn't have put it better if I tried all day. Maybe this can give some a bit of insight as to why I am the way I am. Sometimes I sound crazy, but the people who say that have no problem living their whole lives under a microscope. I notice different things than others.

In the movie The Terminator, the machine is going to kill all the Sarah Connors in a given area. He goes to phone booths and looks in the phone book. Bullshit, the machine would know exactly which Sarah Connor to kill and most likely where she worked, shopped and all kinds of other things.

And just to get totally off the wall, Speed Racer was made in Canada. Dude was afraid of speed. They are driving down the road and there are buildings on both sides. The kid complains about the speed and Pops replies "I'm only doing sixty". Had to be kilometers if it wasn't the highway. Of course it could've been any other country that uses kilometers not miles. But other things point to Canada.

Yes I used to watch TV but never became so enamoured with it as to find out actors and directors' names. Same with music, I actually have a problem looking for oldies because when they came out I never bothered myself with who the artist was.

Maybe I was affording them the same privacy I would like to enjoy. But I am cut from a different cloth than most.

So you haven't got the letter yet about installing miniature CCTV cameras in your home?

I mean, we already have all our calls recorded 'for quality and training purposes'.

Hmmmmm, these laptops I bought last year have webcams.

Now that reminds me, a neighbor was telling me his house got ripped off and they took his laptop, a mac. He brought it over and wanted to trade it for two of mine, actually monetarily it would be a good deal, but I declined. I wanted them for the same reason he wanted them. He wanted to get other people off his main computer.

He then told me that now that it is reported stolen, the first time someone gets on the net with it all the IPs will be sent to law enforcement, and their picture will be taken and also sent. Nice security, but I think too intrusive. It probably also gave the insurance company a reason to delay writing him a check.

They sharpen both sides of the sword y'know.

When Jim was alive- we bugged them right back.   He would call to complain with me on 3 way calling.  I would pipe up and the most awkward moment- and then remind them-- that the call was "monitored"  LOL
