Heya....Cape May county here. Don't even get me started on car insurance and property taxes. And the fact that a run down shack in South Bumfuck still costs almost $300K. But I luvvvvv the beaches.

By no means stop planning that vacation to NJ ...... it may be f__cked up but the beaches are fantastic in the summer .... especially southern NJ LBI, Stone HArbour, Cape May ! Yea. Not to mention its a short hop to NYC for some fun and then right back over to the Jersey side :D

Sorry Merc...but the NJ state bird is the Greenhead Fly, and the gnat is second. The mosquito has slipped to third.[:D] Do ya miss the WaWa? You can't give directions to anyplace in NJ without using a WaWa for a landmark. And there's nothing like the smell of the south Jersey wetlands! Well, I'm having pork roll and scrapple for dinner. With Blueberry Champagne from the Renault Winery. Anybody want to join me? (To anyone not familiar with the Greenhead Fly, there are an gigundous, aggressive gold fly with huge bright green eyes who will physically pick up and move your glass of ice tea out of the way so that they can have a clear shot at biting your arm. They will dive bomb your car that you are seeking refuge in so hard that the paint chips.)

LOL....my son ( who is about your age) calls it "New Hellsey", now that he lives in another state with his father. And, since there is a grandbaby due to arrive in June, I'm already looking into departing the homeland here myself, to join the rest of the family.

Mercnbeth, I am a rural woodsey kinda guy, so So. Cal is no good for me ;) - but it is better than Jersey! kisshou, PA is really not colder tan NJ - but it IS colder than FL! FL is too hot for me - but it is better than Jersey! Katy-waty-doo-dah, yes, you lot in PA ave accents. NOMC, VISITING Jersey is GREAT! (and I will cry real tears when I leave) - it is LIVING in NJ that sucks. Here is some advice for some less-than-common-NJ trip ideas - check out a magazine called Weird NJ. windchymes, WaWa is a south Jersey thing ;) Our funny half-retarted cousins from south of I-195 ;) ... j/k ... I love So. Jersey too :) Moloch - Western NY was my CLOSE second choice of escape routes. windchymes (II) - Lately I have taken to calling it New Germany what with all the laws the government has passed to 'protect' us from ourselves. fergus
